C-curl perm plus clinic, ₩220,000, at Yangju salon Hair Design Whur

As fall arrives I really wanted to change up my hair!! My hair right now is completely dry and frizzy... it's been about 4-5 months since my last perm, maintaining it was such a hassle, and I wanted a fresh look, so I heard there's a great hair salon in Okjeong and went to check it out!!

Where is Hair Design Whur Ok-jeong Branch, and where do you park?

Hair Design Whur Ok-jeong Branch is a hair salon on the 3rd floor at 177 Okjeong-dongro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, near Okjeong Lake Park. Hours are 10:00-20:00, and it's closed on the first and third Sundays of every month.

Okjeong hair salon Hair Design Whur is located near Okjeong Lake Park!! You can park in the building's basement lot, which fits roughly 5-7 cars?? So when I made my reservation, the owner told me in advance that there might not be a spot and that I'd need to use the public parking lot if not!! Luckily there was a spot for me so I parked and went up~~

Inside the salon: seats with an Okjeong Lake Park view

When I walked inside, the lake park view was so pretty and the natural light was gorgeous?!! Can a hair salon really be this pretty..?? I walked in absolutely amazed haha. The interior was super clean, and instead of storing the gowns in a cabinet they hung them separately outside, which made it feel even tidier.

This is the shower room for washing hair. There was a curtain in front too, which I liked since no one could see me.

What 220,000 won covers: C-curl perm, top straightening and clinic

After consulting with designer Haneul, she brought over coffee. Seeing that the muffin had a little Whur sticker on it made me think right away, wow, this is a really thoughtful salon!!

Today I decided to get a C-curl perm, done together with top-section straightening and a clinic treatment, all in one package price!! It cost ₩220,000, and the price changes depending on hair length!! (Since my hair is chest-length, this includes the length surcharge.) My hair was so damaged that I felt like I really needed the clinic treatment ㅜㅜ

This is the state of my hair right now.. Really dry and frizzy, and the perm had completely fallen out, so I wanted nourishment put back in as soon as possible haha.

How the service went: the clinic repeated 3-4 times

They washed my hair first to check its condition before starting! From the moment she washed my hair... it was so refreshing.. I wanted to come back every day just for the wash haha..

This is what step 1?? of the clinic looked like — applying the clinic product to my hair and letting a machine absorb it into the hair!! Warm steam came out from inside the machine, and it felt so good. Just from this step, before even washing, my hair already felt like it was improving??

Now the perm solution is being applied and absorbed into my hair!! At Okjeong hair salon Hair Design Whur, one designer handles everything from start to finish, so this place is perfect for people who don't like having designers switch mid-way!! I actually love having one designer see it through to the end, so this salon was totally my style.

I lay down in the shampoo room and did another round of clinic treatment!! I think we did the clinic maybe 3-4 times total today, and she was so thorough and careful with it that I was genuinely touched ㅜㅜ

The detail: heat applied separately to the front and back sections

Now she rolled my hair, and rolled the bangs first before applying heat only to that section!! Then she rolled the rest of the hair and applied heat to everything except the bangs. I really loved this kind of detail — she explained that the front and back sections need different amounts of time, so that's why she does it this way!!

After finishing all the rolling, the straightening treatment went into the top section. That dry, frizzy part from before was finally... going to be smoothed out~~~ I was so excited.

Then I went to the shampoo room for the neutralizing step, and the neutralizing spray bottle made this cute quacking sound?? Isn't that adorable?? She sprayed it on with the bottle and it was just so cute!! And while I was lying there waiting, worried I'd get cold, Haneul covered me with a blanket..!! Absolutely the best.

Then came the final clinic treatment!! While doing the clinic, she also gave me a head and neck massage ㅜㅜ Total heaven... so refreshing.

When I told her I'm bad at blow-drying my hair, she showed me an easy way to just tousle-dry it comfortably!! If your at-home drying method doesn't match what the salon did, your pretty finished style can turn out totally different after you wash it at home, right ㅜㅜ

The result: the frizzy top section finally looks smooth

Ta-da~~~ can you see the finished look??? My hair texture feels so much better, and honestly I'm just so satisfied that the dry, damaged top section is gone!!!
