Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch: how big is it and where to sit?

Kuu Kuu Gold has about 10 locations nationwide, and it's the upgraded version of the original Kuu Kuu! 🙂 It was easy to find, and parking was convenient too. Wow... the place is huge, I was blown away.

This was our table! Haha. It was just me and my mom, so we got a cozy but honestly pretty good spot. The moment I walked in I was surprised by the sheer scale, then surprised again by the amount and quality of the food — let me show you more photos!!!! 😀

What's on the buffet, from salads to drinks

There are separate sections for salad, bread, noodles, and warm dishes. Not just 3–4 items each — a solid 10 or so items per section.

There's also a dessert, drinks, coffee and tea area that the kids loved!

The self-grill meat and seafood station

There's a section called 'yukhaejinmi' (land and sea delicacies) at the far end. I walked in to see what it was, and... my eyes went wide 🤩 You grill your own meat and seafood on the griddle yourself. Experiencing this, it felt like more than just a place to eat — it gives you the extra flavor of cooking it yourself.

Chicken, shrimp, scallops, pork neck, plus potatoes and mushrooms — you grill it all yourself on the griddle and transfer it to your plate.

There are fresh plates and griddles, plus scissors and tongs so you can start grilling right away. Once you're done with a griddle, you just set it on the rail above and staff clear it away immediately.

How are the sushi and seafood at Kuu Kuu Gold?

Kuu Kuu Gold is famous for its seafood! The variety of California rolls and sushi is amazing. The quality was so good too ^^

Nice touch having kids' tableware..! And they had rice too, so I ate it with ganjang-gejang (soy sauce marinated crab). The ganjang-gejang was pretty good.

Let me show you section by section. This is such a great place to visit with family, and I think almost everyone would be satisfied. Honestly, the reason people avoid buffets is that there's often less to eat than expected and you don't feel like you really ate well... but this is a place I'd want to come back to after just one visit!

Warm dishes, snow ice and cakes

Ugh. I want to eat it again... Guobaorou (Chinese sweet and sour pork), spicy shrimp gangjeong, salad, shrimp roll sushi, and more — I ate so well. The pizza was tasty too. Warm dishes are best eaten right when they come out, straight onto your plate.

The dessert area was also divided into 4 sections. There was bead ice cream, ice cream similar to Baskin Robbins, and I made myself a bowl of nunkkot-bingsu (snow flake shaved ice).

So many salad varieties too. The tomato salad was delicious. So refreshing haha. The fruit was so-so! But I barely touched the fruit... there's just too much dessert to eat 😅

A crepe cake? The layered cake was so good. They had green tea, cheese, and chocolate flavors, and even full, I kept eating more. I even looked online trying to find out where it was from... lol.

We finished with dessert and coffee! I really ate well. 100% revisit intention here. I actually didn't know this place existed until my aunt tried it and recommended it. There's a buffet nearby in Gwanggyo, and several hotel buffets too... but rather than eating at another place once, I think I'd rather come to Kuu Kuu Gold twice. The food quality held its own that much!

The staff must have it tough, but they were really kind, and kept wiping down any messy spots right away. Great food, great atmosphere — I'm planning to come back soon. Highly recommend!
