I visited after booking through Naver Reservation, and it was close to the subway station too. It's a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Gwacheon Government Complex Station, so access was great, and it's located on the basement floor. Parking was easy too, with spots available on B2 and B3.

From long wedding hair to a bob: the consultation

My hair had gotten pretty long... it was damaged, too, since I'd dyed it a lot while prepping for the wedding, and just growing it out that long made it look heavy and stuffy!

Since it had been a while since I'd had a bob, I was honestly worried whether it would suit me and had no idea exactly what style to go for. I booked with designer Kim Seo-young at One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station, and she carefully checked my head shape, face shape, and overall image, showing me a variety of reference photos before we went ahead with the consultation and the cut.

I'd had a bob before and figured a blunt bob wouldn't suit me, so I asked for a light layered cut at the ends, with natural face-framing pieces and bangs. She understood exactly what I wanted, showed me photos, and recommended a style that would suit me! Since I don't have much volume at the roots, my hair looks flat on top compared to the bottom if I don't blow-dry it, so we decided to do a root volume perm together to keep it from lying flat. I cut off quite a lot, right...?

After the consultation, they shampooed my hair, did the first round of cutting, then applied the root volume perm solution and did the heat treatment.

While I was waiting, they gave me a snack — and it turned out to be brunch?! Hahahaha, amazing! It was the first place I'd been to that served toast, and since I'd come straight from work, I was starving. So grateful. There were magazines too, so I wasn't bored while flipping through one.

Reading magazines and scrolling my phone while waiting made the time fly, and then in the shampoo room they neutralized the perm, did a second shampoo, finished up the remaining cutting, and blow-dried and styled it.

How the bob turned out and how to style it at home

The ends were layered lightly so they weren't too heavy and fell naturally. It looked natural both tied up and let down!
