I was craving Vietnamese pho after a while, so I went to Madam Hao near Ajou University 🤓

Inside Madam Hao: seating, baby chairs and phone chargers

Madam Hao's dining room was spacious all the way to the back, with plenty of seating! The owner even thoughtfully set up chargers and a baby chair..👍 The staff were all friendly too, and the cozy atmosphere made it a comfortable place to eat! The tables were neatly arranged and the little interior touches inside were pretty too 😊

There were so many delicious-looking dishes that we agonized over it and ended up ordering beef jjamppong pho and bun cha! Various sauces were set on the table to go with the food haha. The tables were nicely arranged too, which I liked

They gave us shrimp chip-style snacks as a basic side!

How did the beef jjamppong pho and bun cha taste?

Beef jjamppong pho / bun cha

Beef jjamppong pho and bun cha served together

I was so excited just from the visuals! Doesn't it look super spicy-hot haha. The broth was clean and deep-flavored, so it was really easy to eat without feeling heavy

Beef jjamppong pho topped with meat

The top was piled generously with meat, and underneath there were tons of bean sprouts and noodles! The noodles were soft and the sprouts were crunchy, so it went down easily 😙 These days I don't usually finish the noodles at other places, but I scraped this bowl clean at Madam Hao haha

Why Madam Hao's bun cha beats the franchise version

And the bun cha I'd been so looking forward to! The visuals were so pretty it made me happy 🥹👍 The bun cha portion was genuinely generous, and the meat was properly marinated, giving it a premium taste! It was on a completely different level from the bun cha I've had at other franchise pho restaurants..seriously so good 🫶 They also gave lettuce and some herbs with a distinctive scent, which made it feel really Vietnamese, and I loved that

Is Madam Hao in Suwon worth a visit?

I already love Vietnamese food, and I genuinely enjoyed this meal so much! The dishes overall were affordable and generously portioned, so if you're near Ajou University, I recommend Madam Hao ☺️👍
