Whisky bar by Sindang Station with no-wait weekday bar seats: Plot

My husband and I had dinner in Sindang and didn't want to just head home, so we stopped by Plot, a Sindang bar. We'd actually been headed for Jusindang, the most famous bar in Sindang, but changed course and ended up at Plot instead! The space turned out to be so cozy and had this hideout kind of vibe that we honestly ended up loving it??!!! Figured it was worth a review since it's worth a visit.

Where Plot is, opening hours and parking

Plot is a whisky and cocktail bar in Jung-gu, Seoul, in the Cheonggyecheon Doosan We've the Zenith apartment retail block right in front of Sindang Station Exit 11-1. Hours are Mon–Fri 19:00–05:00 and Sat–Sun 18:00–05:00, with last order at 04:30.

Finding Plot: the entrance from the street

Plot is right in front of Sindang Station Exit 11-1, in the Cheonggyecheon Doosan We've the Zenith apartment retail block.

All the Sindang bars I'd been to before were old-school spots near Jungang Market, so I was a bit puzzled at first that this one was in an apartment retail block. But it actually has this hideout feel to it, and the atmosphere is great for a date — honestly ended up liking it even more.

I visited around 7:30pm on a weekday evening, and there were plenty of open tables — got seated with no wait. It being early probably meant more seats were free!!

Inside Plot: the mood and the bar table

The moment I stepped inside Plot, I thought — wait, is this a café? It's the kind of space that's perfect for a casual drink with friends while chatting. There was also a corner with Plot merch on display!

There's a bar table to the right of the entrance. They even provided baskets for bags, blankets, and a hanger. Total sense of style!

Not a huge space, but it's a proper whisky bar — bourbon, single malt, peated, rye, everything's covered!

Ordering the Japanese whisky sampler as highballs

We settled into the bar table at Plot and ordered. There was a good range of cocktails, wine, and whisky. They also had non-alcoholic cocktails, so it seemed like a good spot for non-drinkers to join in too.

Since we love whisky, we went through the whisky menu. The whisky sampler jumped out at us right away! We went with the Japanese whisky sampler.

It's a menu that gives you 15ml each of three whiskies: Yamazaki 12y, Hakushu 12y, and Hibiki Blender's Choice.

I love drinking whisky as a highball, so I asked separately for ice and soda water, and they were happy to bring it over!! So friendly, haha.

One more round: a gin and tonic made with Le Gin

My husband wanted another gin and tonic, so he got a walkthrough of the different gins — the owner explained each one so kindly and thoroughly.

The gin my husband picked was Le Gin! Along with the friendly explanation, we got a recommendation tailored to his taste. The result? Totally. Satisfying!! Both of us really enjoyed that gin and tonic 👏🏻

Who is Plot, a Sindang whisky bar, best for?

I went in with no real expectations, and Plot turned out to be a surprisingly good find! The quiet atmosphere makes it great for a date, and just as good for catching up with friends. We'd already had dinner so we didn't order any food, but I've seen plenty of reviews saying the food is great too, so next time I'll order some food along with the drinks! If you're looking for a Sindang bar or a Sindang whisky bar, I'd recommend Plot!
