Sindang is genuinely hip these days. There are so many pretty cafés and good-vibe bars that it's the perfect neighborhood for a drink after dinner. This time, while on a date in Sindang, I dropped by Plot (플롯), a bar with a great atmosphere!

What Plot looks like inside and out

Maybe because Sindang itself is such a hip neighborhood lately, Plot had a distinct look from the outside. Coming at night, with the lighting added on top, it was the kind of place you'd want to glance at even just walking by! I prefer somewhere calm and atmospheric over a flashy bar, and this place hit exactly that note. I think anyone looking for a Sindang date bar would like it.

Bar seating and table atmosphere at Plot

Walking inside, the mood from the exterior carries right through. The lighting is a little dim with accents here and there, so it was nice for chatting over a cocktail. Photos came out atmospheric too, so it worked well as a date spot :) There were bar seats, 4-tops, and 2-tops in a variety of arrangements — by the time we left it was nearly full!

Plot's own merch, T-shirts and hats, on display

A Sindang bar with its own merch

And off to one side, they were selling Plot's own merch. There were T-shirts and hats — I think it's the first time I've seen a bar selling its own goods, so I ended up browsing haha. That's another very hip-Sindang touch... The staff were all friendly to us too, which was nice.

They gave us wet wipes, which was a nice touch, and the tableware was clean and pretty!

What we ordered at Plot and what it cost

It was convenient to check the menu via QR code. We ordered the black pork carpaccio (₩15,000) for food, and for cocktails, Bold Sicily 30% (₩22,000) and Mario 12% (₩22,000).

Finally, our order arrived! With the black pork carpaccio and both cocktails on the table, the mood really came alive. The plating was pretty too, so of course we took photos before eating 📸

Toasting with two cocktails

You have to do this, right haha. My friend and I each grabbed a cocktail for a toast 🥂 With good food and cocktails in an atmospheric Sindang bar, it's perfect for a date, but also just for drinks with a friend!

The black pork carpaccio we ordered as an appetizer!

Black pork carpaccio topped with green onion and sauce

The plate was full of thinly sliced black pork with green onion, sauce, and toppings piled on top — beautiful just to look at. Snap!

Picking up a piece of black pork carpaccio

The black pork was sliced thin, so it was easy to pick up piece by piece, and eating it with the green onion and sauce added a fragrant note to the savory meat that worked really well.

How yuzu kosho changes the carpaccio

Definitely try it with yuzu kosho (유자고추, a fermented yuzu-chili paste) too! I put a bit on top of the black pork, and the yuzu's fragrance with a hint of sharpness completely changed the flavor.

Yuzu kosho added on top of the black pork

I alternated between eating it with yuzu kosho and then piling on lots of green onion — it was surprisingly fun switching combinations even though it was just one plate.

Eating the black pork carpaccio with different combinations

A sip of cocktail, then a bite of black pork — such a good pairing. It's not the kind of dish you usually see at a Sindang bar, so it was a nice one to try at Plot :)

Bold Sicily 30% cocktail, 22,000 won

Bold Sicily

A glass of Plot's Bold Sicily cocktail

The first cocktail was Bold Sicily 30%. It's made with grappa, Campari, Amaro Averna, and Marsala wine.

The strong, heavy Bold Sicily cocktail

The menu described it as a sweet, heavy cocktail with a strong presence of alcohol. At 30%, it's definitely a cocktail with presence!

It felt better suited to slow sipping while chatting than to casual gulps.

Mario 12% cocktail, 22,000 won

Mario

The strawberry-based Mario cocktail

Next up, Mario 12%. It's a cocktail with strawberry, balsamic glaze, barrel-aged whisky, and ginger beer.

A glass of the sweet-tart Mario cocktail

The menu called it juicy and sweet-tart, and with strawberry in it, the look was already right up my alley...

Mario and Bold Sicily cocktails side by side

It had a totally different vibe from Bold Sicily, so ordering both and taking turns sipping with my friend was fun too haha.

Cocktails and food together on the table at Plot

Is Plot a good date bar in Sindang?

Plot felt less like a plain drinking bar and more like a dining bar where you enjoy cocktails and food together. The plating was pretty and the cocktail selection was distinctive, so it's a good place to come to on a day you want something a bit special instead of an ordinary bar. Sindang especially is a neighborhood people come to on dates a lot these days. It's great as a second stop after dinner, or you could just order food and cocktails together at Plot and take your time.

A final photo capturing Plot's interior atmosphere

From the atmosphere to the food to the cocktails, Plot had its own clear identity all the way through! The staff were all kind and the place is great for photos, so if you're looking for a good Sindang restaurant, a Sindang bar, or a date spot near Sindang Station, it's worth a visit :)
