When you go to a Korean BBQ place with kids, taste matters, but a place that grills the meat for you is the best! At Tamra Factory the staff grilled the meat for us, so even with kids along, we could eat really comfortably!

It was a good fit for visiting with kids like we did, and above all, having the staff grill the meat directly was something I loved times 50.

Dinner with kids: how much easier is it when staff grill the pork for you?

We went for dinner with the kids. Bringing kids to a Korean BBQ place usually means worrying about the grill flame, cutting the meat into bite-size pieces, sorting out side dishes — total chaos. At Tamra Factory, the staff grilled the meat for us, and it was so much easier! (I'm someone who's terrible at grilling meat, so this was a lifesaver.)

I also liked that I could eat the meat right when it was at its best. Being able to eat it warm meant I got to enjoy a relaxed meal for once. Tasting the well-grilled meat, what I liked most was the chewy texture.

I cut some up for the little ones, and they ate much better than expected. My kid even wraps meat in lettuce now. It was so nice that they gave us kids' dishes too :)

And I really loved the side dish spread here. Every single side dish they served alongside the meat matched my taste, so it was fun mixing and matching different combinations.

Finishing with cold noodles that the kids ate too

Even after eating your fill of meat, you can't skip the cold noodles at the end. Whenever I go to a Korean BBQ place, I only feel like I've had a proper meal once I've had naengmyeon (cold noodles) for dessert haha. After warm meat, the cool noodles cleaned my palate perfectly and made for the ideal finish. We thought the kids wouldn't eat the noodles so we only ordered one, but they ate it up so well I regretted not ordering two.

After dinner in Magok: a half-day course with the One Grove exhibition

It's also nice to check out nearby One Grove. That day we went to see the Jean-Jacques Sempé exhibit at the My Art Museum One Grove branch. Having a hearty meal at a Korean BBQ restaurant in Magok and then seeing an exhibit at One Grove made for a great half-day outing. Parking was well set up too, so getting around was really convenient.
