I also noticed they'd set aside a separate space where delivery riders could comfortably grab a drink. The owner was very kind too, making this a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for good jjamppong in Sinjung-dong.

What we ordered for a hangover lunch

The table with all the ordered dishes set out

Here's what was laid out on the table. For the hangover cure, I made Jijon Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) the main dish, ordering jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and sticky rice sweet and sour pork alongside it. On top of that, four complimentary jjamppong-flavored fried dumplings rounded out a very filling meal.

How does the Jijon Jjamppong taste?

Jijon Jjamppong was packed with seafood, vegetables and meat, and the broth was cool yet spicy — it genuinely felt like it snapped me out of last night's drinking.

Jijon Jjajang had that sweet-and-salty combination that brought back old-school jjajangmyeon, and switching back and forth with the jjamppong broth meant I never got tired of it and finished it happily.

Sticky rice sweet and sour pork

The sticky rice sweet and sour pork kept its crispy-chewy batter texture for a long time, and the sauce came on the side, so I could enjoy both dipping and pouring it on.

The complimentary jjamppong-flavored fried dumplings were crispy on the outside with a gentle spiciness inside, making them a nice thing to snack on between bites of the main dishes.

There was also a dessert corner set up for after the meal. If you're looking for good jjamppong in Sinjung-dong, I'd recommend Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch. Between the spicy kick of the broth and the owner's friendly service, this is a Bucheon restaurant I'd trust and return to.

I'd also recommend it to anyone searching for jjamppong near Bucheon City Hall, and next time I'd like to try the soft tofu jjamppong noodles and the Sichuan-style sweet and sour pork.

With one spoonful of that spicy broth, yesterday's fatigue melted right away.
