In short

Bas Burger Seongsu is a handmade burger restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Ttukseom Station Exit 7. On a weekend Seoul Forest date, the writer ordered the THE Bas Burger set at 17,000 won, a Hawaiian burger at 10,200 won, the owner-recommended crunch chicken and a Bas Lager craft beer, with unlimited chips and sauces from the self-bar. I went on a weekend date with my boyfriend in Seoul Forest and swung by Bas Burger Seongsu, his soul food and a legend of Seongsu-dong burgers 💕 Every time I come to Seongsu-dong I end up here — this Seoul Forest favorite serves warm handmade burgers, craft beer, and even a new chili mozza cheese bar, all at great value. It's a Seongsu spot that works just as well for families, friends, or couples on a date 🤍

Inside, Bas Burger Seongsu has a warm mood thanks to the wood-toned interior. With tables ranging from 2-seaters to 4-seaters, the vibe suits solo diners, friends, and couples on a date alike. It's also made a name for itself as a lunch spot for Ttukseom Station office workers and a place for a beer after work.

What we ordered at Bas Burger Seongsu and what it cost

THE Bas Burger set (₩17,000 + ₩1,400 to swap the drink for Bas Lager) / Hawaiian burger (₩10,200) / Crunch chicken 2pc (₩6,000) / Bas Lager (₩3,900)

I can't resist beer with a handmade burger. So we ordered THE Bas Burger set, a Hawaiian burger, crunch chicken, and a Bas Lager — go go go. I really wanted to try the new chili mozza cheese bar too, but bam — sold out. That's how popular it is❕ So instead we went with the crunch chicken the owner recommended!

We got our chips and sauces ready from the self-bar. With just Bas Burger's chips alone, the beer goes down smooth and endless. Totally worth every won.

How does the Bas Lager craft beer taste?

And finally, here come the burgers and beer from Bas Burger, the burger spot that's becoming the go-to Seoul Forest date course.

Handmade burger and Bas Lager beer laid out on the table

Honestly, I only ordered one beer at first, but it was so irresistibly delicious I ordered another. Hehe 🩵

My boyfriend and I clinked our Bas Lager glasses in a toast to happiness. It's a house-brewed craft beer made right at Bas Burger, and it's really tasty. It's cold and savory, clean without being heavy, and finishes sweet rather than bitter, so it goes down easy 🍺

Crunch chicken (2 pieces), the owner's recommendation

The crunch chicken was good enough that calling it a fried chicken restaurant wouldn't be an exaggeration — crispy outside, juicy inside, textbook crispy-on-the-outside-juicy-on-the-inside. And it went so well with beer that my boyfriend and I cleaned the plate in no time 🍗

THE Bas Burger set: how big are the two patties?

Ta-da! THE Bas Burger looks stunning from the visuals alone. Two thick patties layered with hash brown, vegetables, cheese, and more — a handmade burger that's bound to satisfy anyone. 📍 Note: THE Bas Burger is different from the regular Bas Burger.

THE Bas Burger with two patties

It was so hefty it barely fit in one bite. It's basically a bundle of temptation, but big means seriously delicious 🍔 Insane burger volume.

Cross-section of THE Bas Burger, too big for one bite

Two beef patties, hash brown, cheddar cheese, butterhead lettuce, onion, tomato, pepper, and more, all packed in generously — the patties were juicy and it was genuinely delicious.

Hawaiian burger at Bas Burger Seongsu

The Hawaiian burger let you taste the pineapple's juiciness right away, so I gave my boyfriend a thumbs-up of satisfaction first. Patty + cheese + pineapple = sweet-and-salty perfection 💛 There's a reason Bas Burger Seongsu is a Seoul Forest favorite! And the bun itself was so soft it was really delicious.

Freshly fried fries served with the burger set

Since Bas Burger gives you free chips, we only ordered one set that comes with fries — but the fries are an absolute must. Fresh out of the fryer, they're crispy outside and fluffy inside. Even fries alone with beer make for a relaxed time chatting away.
