Gwangalli dog-friendly brunch café with bacon benedict: Famous Benny
In short
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is an indoor dog-friendly Australian-style brunch café in Gwangalli, Suyeong, Busan. I tried Bacon The Famous Benny, an acai bowl, kabocha squash soup, and ₩8,000 drip coffee made with El beans in its spacious second-floor seating area. Verdict: a lovely pick for an early Gwangalli brunch and seriously good coffee.

An indoor dog-friendly brunch café in Gwangalli
Famous Benny, a Gwangalli brunch café.

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a dog-friendly Australian-style brunch café in Gwangalli, Busan. Walk from Gwangalli Beach toward Millak Raw Fish Town, then head into the alley—it is right there!

Famous Benny is a 2026 Blue Ribbon Survey brunch favorite 💛
Order downstairs, then head up to the spacious second floor
The first floor at Famous Benny Gwangalli

It is a brunch café, but also a great coffee spot! I noticed lots of people stopping by for coffee after a run. The first floor has seats that are perfect for a quick coffee.

You order on the first floor, then we headed upstairs~ ✨ Most people seemed to enjoy brunch on the second floor :) It is much roomier up there. I loved the clean, wood-toned brunch-café feel, with generously sized tables and plenty of space!
A brunch café where dogs are welcome indoors

Since dogs are welcome indoors, there are canine customers too >_< So cute... 💛 This sweet dog was sitting at the table beside us—so gentle and model-pretty that I kept looking over ⭐️
Choosing brunch and drip coffee
Famous Benny menu

There is such a wide selection of drinks, coffee, gelato, juice, and especially brunch! Toast, bread, acai bowls, eggs in hell, soups...! They are seriously committed to brunch, right? 🫶 Scan the QR code and you can see menu photos!!!! Such a thoughtful touch...! The brunch visuals here are so good that choosing is genuinely difficult 🥹

The bright flowers on the first floor are so pretty too.... Just looking at them puts me in a good mood.
Drip coffee with El beans

After deliberating, I ordered drip coffee! It was absolutely worth the ₩8,000...!

I took the recommendation and chose the El beans! If you like well-balanced coffee, you really, really have to try it... It was honestly one of the best coffees I had in Busan—so good that I am still thinking about it!

What we ordered at Famous Benny

The staff bring your order straight up to the second floor, so you can just settle in and wait comfortably :) The orange juice was bright and refreshing with brunch. Brunch means juice, right?!
The signature dish, The Famous Benny

It is the signature dish, so everyone was ordering it...! The presentation alone is legendary ❤️ Truly a no-regrets menu!!!! You have to order this one. You can choose salmon or bacon; we went with bacon ❤️ A croissant is topped with a poached egg, avocado, macadamias, and onion chips. It looks beautiful and tastes great too! Such a rich, wholesome flavor, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh ❤️ Even the little bites of macadamia are perfect. If you are looking for a great sandwich in Gwangalli, Busan, I highly, highly recommend this place..!

It was my first time having an acai bowl—why is it so delicious...? It even came topped with pretty flowers, haha. There was peanut butter and nutty granola to bite into, plus loads of berries and blueberries, so it was nutty, tangy, and sweet! We added a warm soup too...! We chose the kabocha squash soup over mushroom :) It comes with mild multigrain bread toasted crisp on the outside.

The kabocha squash soup had a cheesy note, was so rich and nutty, and had that gentle squash flavor—seriously delicious..! It was especially a perfect match with the bread ㅠㅠ The soup is the main event, but what do we do when the bread is delicious too...? I recommend this dish as well... Actually, I recommend every brunch dish. There was not a single menu item I was anything less than satisfied with, hahaha.

If you are looking for a brunch spot in Gwangalli that opens early, I recommend Famous Benny! Since dogs are allowed indoors, it is lovely to come with your pup too 🐶 Above all, true to its reputation as a drip-coffee spot, the coffee was really delicious, and every brunch dish felt made with care. I was happy with the menu overall, so I do not think you could go wrong with anything! Still, I definitely recommend ordering the signature “The Famous Benny” ❤️

Famous Benny is also perfect for brunch in Gwangalli, Busan, or a date in Millak-dong.
