Suwon date-night pizza restaurant, window sofa seats: Low Five Sinpung
In short
Low Five Sinpung is a wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant in an alley off Sinpung-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Arriving on a chilly evening with a cold coming on, I asked for warm water and the staff brought a blanket first; dinner was a half-and-half pizza (corn and pepperoni) at 26,000 won, truffle cream pasta at 19,000 won and a salad, with the pizza dough dipped in the truffle sauce. Between the food and the service, Low Five Sinpung is an easy recommendation for a Haengridan-gil date.

I was so happy with Low Five last time! This time I went to the Sinpung branch haha. The food is always reliable, so if you're looking for a good date spot in Haenggung-dong, this fits the bill — I enjoyed the pasta, pizza, and salad.

Where is Low Five Sinpung, and how do parking and waiting work?
Low Five Sinpung is tucked down the alley just past Just Tendon in Haenggung-dong — easy to find. There's no dedicated parking, so you'll need to use the Haenggung public parking lot nearby.
Reservations aren't really possible, and it's a popular spot with a wait even on weekdays. If ingredients run out while you're waiting, your spot can be canceled. Waiting numbers are handed out at 11:05am and 4:30pm. If you don't show up within 10 minutes of being called, your spot is canceled.

I went a bit later in the evening, so luckily the line ahead of us cleared quickly and we got seated right away. We started at a window seat, then a sofa seat opened up, so we moved right into the comfy sofa spot.
Even though the place looked super busy, the staff were so kind, taking care of what we needed before we even asked.

Inside Low Five Sinpung: window sofa seats and the overall mood
Low Five Sinpung is a great spot for a Haenggung-dong date — the interior vibe is really nice! Best of all, the bathroom inside is spotless. There were a lot of couples out on weekday evening dates.

The blanket the staff brought on a cold night

I'd caught a cold recently and wasn't feeling great ㅠㅜ, and the weather had gotten pretty chilly, so I was cold. I asked for a glass of warm water, and the staff member kindly asked, "Would you like a blanket?" before I could even say anything — thanks to that, I got to eat warm and cozy.

Honestly I was curious about the taco pizza with cilantro, but I heard it's pretty spicy, and since I can't handle spice well, we went with the half-and-half (corn + pepperoni combo) instead. Jalapeños come included by default, and there's parmesan powder and chili sauce at the self-bar.

Half-and-half wood-fired pizza with truffle cream pasta for dipping
Low Five is known for its wood-fired pizza, so ordering it half-and-half meant we got to enjoy both of the best-selling flavors, corn and pepperoni. Savory, sweet, and since it's wood-fired, even the dough has its own charm.
The truffle cream pasta we ordered alongside it was so thick and delicious that I ended up dipping the pizza dough into the truffle cream sauce. The deep, rich truffle sauce is the standout feature. I loved it so much I'm planning to order the truffle cream pasta next time I come to Low Five!

The combination of fresh salad just wipes away the day's fatigue. They even drizzle a generous squeeze of lemon over the salad.

Why Low Five Sinpung works as a Haengridan-gil date spot
As the sun sets, isn't the window seat just gorgeous? I'd recommend it as a Haengridan-gil date spot. I noticed other customers taking pizza to go, and the staff carefully wrapped each slice individually — such a thoughtful touch.
Great taste aside, the kindness and service make me want to come back — Low Five Sinpung, a pizza restaurant in Haenggung-dong, is a date course I'd recommend.
