Suwon brunch café with avocado sandwich and decaf: Café Meomureum

I work out every Tuesday and Thursday at my apartment community. Today was Tuesday, so I worked hard in the GX room, and after chatting with fellow members for a while afterward, I got pretty hungry.

What is Café Meomureum like, on the second floor of Dongshin Shopping Center in Jeongja-dong, Suwon?

To soothe my hungry stomach, I came to Café Meomureum, a café in Jeongja-dong, Suwon, and enjoyed a refreshing iced americano along with delicious salt bread and a sandwich.

This place is a large café located on the 2nd floor of the Dongshin Apartment shopping center, right in my usual neighborhood in Jeongja-dong, Suwon. Since it's inside an apartment complex, you'd expect it to be small, but actually there's a lot of seating and it's quite spacious.

This is a large café in Jeongja-dong, Suwon that I sometimes visit with my GX class members too, and since there's parking in the shopping center, it's also convenient to visit by car.

The shopping center itself feels its age since it's part of an old apartment complex, but once you step inside the café, it's a completely different world — a hip interior with luxurious, colorful tones.

A white base tone welcomed by lush green plants and colorful paintings. With calm music added on top, it's a café that always puts me in a good mood~ so this is my Nth visit today.

It's also a good place to come alone to study or work, with partitioned solo seats available. I sometimes bring my laptop alone or come to read a book.

Café Meomureum's drink menu and the decaf iced americano

The drink menu at Café Meomureum in Jeongja-dong consists of coffee, non-coffee, tea, smoothies, and more. Today I switched to decaf and ordered an americano, and it was surprisingly delicious for a decaf.

Café Meomureum has quite a diverse menu. The decaf had a bit of what I'd call a distinctive sourness along with a slight bitterness — exactly the flavor I like. It's not easy to make a good decaf iced americano, but this place is a real coffee spot.

They also sell a variety of baked goods. In front of the counter were a handmade walnut pie and candied walnuts. The desserts prepared change each time I come — usually things like egg tart, butter rice cake, cheesecake, apple pie, and garlic bread.

Salt bread and avocado sandwich: how do they work as brunch in Jeongja-dong?

I visited today extremely hungry, so I ordered this place's signature salt bread along with an avocado sandwich. I usually order the salt bread whenever I come here, because this is basically the best salt bread spot in Jeongja-dong, Suwon^^

I don't come here for a full brunch meal every time, so it was my first time trying the sandwich~ and oh, what I realized today is that this place is also a sandwich spot! The sandwich was really delicious~~

I found myself examining the avocado sandwich, wondering what was inside that made it taste so good. Now that I'm raising a kid, I really want to try making something this delicious and healthy-feeling myself.

Sitting by a window with warm sunlight streaming in, eating a cool americano together with a tasty sandwich and salt bread, I felt like today was just a really good day for me.

Who is Café Meomureum's quiet atmosphere best for?

If you're looking for a peaceful, good-vibe café in Jeongja-dong, Suwon, I really want to recommend Café Meomureum. Oh, and one more thing — it's really quiet and calm here. Coming here always seems to settle my mind.

It's a café that matches the calm owner who greets me warmly every time I visit. A space really does seem to resemble its owner :)
