Two special sushi sets for a walk-home dinner: Minyeong Hwareo

There's a market near my house called Moraenae Market haha, it's a 10-15 minute walk so I go a few times a week. On a day I was craving sushi, I stopped by Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang Moraenae Market Branch and packed some delicious sushi to take home haha.

This Moraenae Market sushi spot is located a little above the middle of the market haha.

This is a place I go to often, and it's always packed, so I was curious if it's really that good. This time too there was a line of customers, so I waited a bit before buying haha.

A Guwol-dong sushi and raw fish restaurant — I saw the chef actually making the sushi, and maybe that's why it tasted even better haha.

What about hygiene for market sushi?

Market food is affordable and tasty, but hygiene can be a bit of a worry depending on the season. At Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang everything is kept in a refrigerator, so I could buy with peace of mind haha.

Sushi types and prices

There were really so many kinds of sushi, and prices start from ₩6,000, so it wasn't a burden haha. I ordered two special sushi sets haha.

The takeout packaging

The packaging is so neat, isn't it? They pack it with a cold bag and cold pack haha. It comes with sushi, pickled ginger & rakkyo, wasabi & soy sauce, and miso soup all included — two sushi sets for ₩30,000 haha.

You just dissolve the miso soup packet in water and boil it. We had a simple but delicious sushi dinner. Honestly, I could eat sushi every day haha.

I served my husband first like this, and my hubby♥︎ said he eats cheongyang chili peppers with sushi too, so I gave him some!^-^*

The sushi pieces are big and the assortment is varied, so it's easy to enjoy. This is the ₩15,000 special sushi set.

The miso soup was hot, which made it even tastier, and the sushi at this Moraenae Market spot is really good haha. The young owner and staff were kind, and I could see why they get so many customers haha.

Tasting the special sushi, piece by piece

Flounder sushi first! You can kind of tell how good a place is from its flounder sushi, and this one was well-aged, chewy, and delicious haha.

Soft and chewy salmon sushi♥︎ It was so good I felt like I could eat ten pieces!

This one is maybe yellowtail? A white fish, but personally the texture just wasn't for me ㅠㅠ

Tuna, soy sauce shrimp, seared shrimp sushi, and grilled salmon were all delicious — I wished there was more than one piece of each! The soy sauce shrimp wasn't fishy at all and had great texture too haha. Grilled salmon and shrimp go without saying haha.

And since I love salmon, my husband gave me both his salmon sushi pieces haha. Thanks to that I got to eat five of them haha. I gave him the eel and flounder in return haha.

Would I go back?

This was my first time trying this Moraenae Market sushi spot, and it was fresh and delicious haha. Since it's near my house, I'll go pack sushi again whenever I'm craving it. I want to try all the other menu items one by one haha.
