How to find it inside the market

The market is huge, so to give the exact location: from this spot, head up to the right and you'll find Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang on the left side!

It's not far from the central plaza, so it was easy to spot 🙌

Menu lineup - sushi, sushi rolls, live fish sashimi

The moment I got to the front of the shop, the showcase immediately caught my eye. It was packed with everything from sushi to live fish sashimi to mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) 👀 What stood out most was the color and glossiness of the fish — a visual that just screamed freshness 💥 Browsing through it, I kept struggling to decide what to pick 💕

And since most of the prices were in the low ₩10,000s range, it was easy to pick out several things without worrying about the bill :)

By the way, when you buy sushi or sashimi, they put it in a cold bag along with an ice pack, so it stays fresh the whole way home 🧊 When you're market shopping, things take longer than you'd think 🙏

• Daegwangeo (large flatfish) sushi
• Moraenae sushi
• Mixed salmon sushi

They also carefully packed the miso soup and soy sauce/wasabi that no sushi meal should be without!

Daegwangeo sushi

First up, live fish sushi — the most basic of basics among sushi types. The fish slices had just the right thickness plus a springy texture, so it was ♥️totally satisfying♥️

Moraenae sushi

And the Moraenae sushi! Since I was at Moraenae Market anyway, the name alone caught my eye so I bought it lol. It's a set that lets you sample a variety of pieces, which I liked. The only thing I found was that the fried tofu sushi piece was a bit salty..!! Still, overall it was delicious hahaha.

Mixed salmon sushi

The main event for me — mixed salmon sushi!! As a salmon lover, I prefer a mix of flavors — grilled salmon, salmon with sauce — rather than just raw salmon, and this set happened to have exactly the mix I love. If you're into salmon sushi, this one's a must-recommend 💕

Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang is so famous that I'd always wanted to try it, so I was so happy it opened this close to me ♥️ There's a great variety of sushi and the prices are easy on the wallet, so it was perfect for picking out several things. And since I'm a huge salmon fan, that mixed salmon sushi I had this time is definitely getting repurchased haha ✨ If you're browsing the market and suddenly crave sushi or sashimi and are looking for the best sushi spot in Moraenae Market, I highly recommend this place!
