T Coffee is a quiet café 500m from Seongsu Station Exit 2, in the basement level at 159 Achasan-ro. I went to Seongsu on a Saturday and got completely crushed by the crowds and drained of energy... but after a short break at T Coffee my energy gauge was back to 100%!! 💪🏼✨

How to get to T Coffee: 500m from Seongsu Station Exit 2

Walk straight down about 500m from Seongsu Station Exit 2, and you'll see the Pizza Slice sign right on the street. This is the spot!

There are two ways down: 1. Go into the building on the left and take the elevator to the basement 2. Use the stairs on the right down to the basement. Pizza Slice Seoul and T Coffee share the basement level.

We went in through the building and took the elevator down.

Inside T Coffee: a Seongsu café worth looking around

Seongsu already has so many cafés, and most of them already have great vibes and high-end interiors, so you usually just think 'oh, this is nice~' — but at T Coffee I found myself lingering to take in the space for a long time. It's not flashy, but it really makes good use of the building's structure, the light, the furniture, and the lighting.

Personally, the atmosphere inside stayed with me just as much as the memory of how good the coffee tasted, so if you're looking for a café in Seongsu with great vibes and a high level of design, T Coffee is my recommendation.

Overall it uses calm base colors like white and gray, with warm-toned lighting added on top.

It's a minimal space, but the accent colors are used clearly, so it never feels too warm or too monochrome — it was just really pretty.

Every seat a different mood, and natural light through the sunken space

Usually, large cafés just repeat the same tables across one big space. But T Coffee is arranged so each area within the same space has a slightly different mood. The tables, chairs, and lighting design are completely different by zone, so there's a fun sense of discovering different charm within a single space.

And on one side, natural light comes in through a sunken space — this light was truly beautiful. Sunlight coming into a basement so naturally made me forget I was even underground, haha. As the direction of the light and the shadows change through the day, the mood shifts a little too — it was fun.

It's also an interior with a lot of open space. Even the placement of a single table or chair felt like it worked with the whole space. If you love this kind of minimal interior, you'll really love it!

The customer seating was warm wood, but the barista's area was cool but sleek stainless steel that looked super clean and hygienic, haha. It's a fully open space so it felt reassuring, and I loved being able to watch the barista's performance too.

T Coffee menu and dessert prices

T Coffee's desserts include sand cookies, chocolate sand cookies, choux cookies, carrot cake, cheesecake and more, priced from ₩4,200 to ₩7,500. The desserts look simple yet delicious, don't they? Even the desserts match the interior's tone — each one displayed individually like an art object.

There was a wide variety of americanos and lattes, plus non-coffee options, so people sensitive to caffeine had plenty to choose from too. The hand-drip in particular comes as a single origin only — Ethiopia Guji Gugugu Natural. It's a bean centered on tangy-sweet fruit acidity, with notes of grape, tropical fruit, stone fruit, and chocolate.

Decaf iced americano and pistachio cream puff at T Coffee

We ordered two decaf iced americanos and a pistachio cream puff.

My daughter wanted to show off the keyring she bought at NuNu... honestly, how many more keyrings is she going to buy,,? Our house is basically NuNu now.. please come to our place and take some keyrings ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The pistachio cream puff — the choux cookie had a crisp yet chewy texture, and the pistachio cream was almost like sweet red bean paste in its chewiness. The vanilla flavor was strong up front with pistachio coming through subtly in the finish, and it was so good.

Paired with the americano.. it was so good together. Sooo delicious ㅠㅠ✨

Why T Coffee is my pick for quiet coffee and laptop work in Seongsu

T Coffee feels different from the bustling café atmosphere in the middle of Seongsu. It's much calmer, quieter, and more comfortable — there were actually people studying and people working on laptops. Even with a fair number of people around, the space itself gave off such a relaxed feeling that it never felt crowded.

This was the first time I ever wanted to stay this long at a café in Seongsu…. haha. That's how much I loved it.🧡
