Cheese, white Hawaiian, meatball slices in Seongsu: Pizza Slice Seoul

I was looking for a quiet café in Seongsu and ended up at Tea Coffee, and right next door was Pizza Slice Seoul. Suddenly I was craving hot pizza, so after coffee I just went and got pizza too, hahaha.

As the name suggests, this is a place where you can pick and eat slices from big pizzas one at a time. It's perfect when you want to try a little of several flavors, or when a full meal feels like too much but you're still peckish. Let me introduce it right now!

How to find Pizza Slice Seoul: 5 minutes from Seongsu Station Exit 2

Pizza Slice Seoul is about a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 2. This is the JKND building, which runs brands like thisisneverthat, YESEYESEE, and Kakhi. Pizza Slice Seoul is JKND's first F&B store, run directly by the company.

Pizza Slice Seoul started in Tokyo and was brought to Seoul — it's the style where you pick large slices one at a time, like the dollar pizza places in New York! Haha.

Go down the stairs below and you'll find Pizza Slice Seoul right there. Tea Coffee, which is run alongside it, is also down here. You can also enter through the building and take the elevator down to the basement level.

A sunken basement space at Pizza Slice Seoul that still gets natural light

Since the store is in the basement, at first it feels like a slightly hidden space, but once you go down, the vibe completely changes!!

Overall it uses a base of white, wood, and gray, with furniture and lighting as accent points — such an attractive space.

On one side there's a sunken space, so even though it's a basement, it doesn't feel like one at all haha. Natural sunlight comes in so naturally that you forget you're underground — the greenery and natural light were so pretty.

I found it striking how they used triangular tables arranged in various ways. Did they make pizza-shaped tables because it's a pizza place? Fun to imagine, haha.

There were a lot of customers who suddenly cleared out all at once, so I took a photo of the empty space. It has a cafe-like atmosphere.

It's a small space if anything, but the natural light coming in from outside kept it from feeling cramped and gave it such an open feel. I also loved that each area has different table and lighting designs. Maybe because the space is so pretty, the pizza somehow tasted even better...?

Right next to Pizza Slice Seoul is Tea Coffee. You can have pizza and then get an iced Americano, all in one space!

Pizza Slice Seoul menu and prices: slices from 6,200 to 7,800 won

Seeing the big slices lined up in the display case reminded me of the dollar pizza I had in New York. It was genuinely delicious, I miss it so much. Pizza Slice Seoul has familiar options like pepperoni and cheese, along with the more divisive Hawaiian pizza and unique ones like the homemade meatball pizza — so it's fun to order a variety and try them all.

There are also side dishes like fries, buffalo wings, and Caesar salad. We'd already eaten and had coffee, so we kept it simple(?) with just one slice each haha.

We ordered cheese pizza, white Hawaiian, homemade meatball, and a Zero Coke. When you order, they reheat it in the oven for you.

Pizza prices range from ₩6,200 to ₩7,800.

They reheat it right away, and if the slice is too big for you, you can ask them to cut it in half.

Fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza was seriously beyond words... hot, crispy, cheese stretching everywhere... it was so, so good.

White Hawaiian slice: cheese-forward with no tomato sauce

The white Hawaiian, as the name suggests, is centered on cheese with no tomato sauce. The combination of sweet-tart pineapple, savory cheese, and salty bacon was so good. Hawaiian pizza is pretty divisive haha, but I love it, so if you're usually into pineapple pizza, I'd recommend this one.

Cheese slice: thin, crispy New York-style dough

The menu item where you can best taste Pizza Slice Seoul's basic flavor!

There's plenty of cheese piled on top of the tomato sauce — with one bite, the savory cheese and tangy tomato sauce come together simply and well. True to a big New York-style pizza, the crust is thin and crispy, so it was really delicious. It's thin but surprisingly large, so even one slice will fill you up haha. Since there are no toppings, the salty, savory flavor of the cheese really stands out! Cheese pizza fans, go eat this right now!!

Homemade meatball slice: the heaviest, most filling of the three

Of the three, the homemade meatball pizza was the heaviest and most filling. The big slice topped with chunky, handmade meatballs looked amazing from first sight... you can taste the deep meaty flavor and umami. The meatballs were soft and blended naturally with the pizza, so it was really delicious...

There are various sauces set out on the table, so you can drizzle them on to your taste.

I tried all three, and they were genuinely all delicious, so I really can't pick just one. Hmm... if I had to choose... maybe the meatball? The meat was really, really good, haha.

With Zero Coke... ah, a familiar taste that's scarier for being familiar.

Is Pizza Slice Seoul worth a quick slice in Seongsu?

They thoughtfully have a sink — after eating with your hands, you can just wash up nicely haha.

Seongsu has quite a few good pizza spots, but Pizza Slice Seoul was satisfying in everything from the atmosphere of the space to the menu lineup. The three pizzas I tried this time were all completely different in flavor, so there's fun in picking and choosing. It's a great place to enjoy a light slice of pizza amid Seongsu's signature hip atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Seongsu. :)
