Today we visited a ramen spot inside Incheon Lotte Department Store~

A basement ramen restaurant at Incheon Lotte Department Store after anniversary shopping
Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is on the basement floor of Incheon Lotte Department Store. My boyfriend and I went shoe shopping for our 1st anniversary gift and got hungry afterward, ugh ㅠㅠ Going out further felt like a hassle, so I remembered this restaurant inside the department store~
It's famous as one of the go-to restaurants at Incheon Lotte Department Store~ I actually visited once before with my mom, and the dongpo pork ramen I had that time was so satisfying that I came back with my boyfriend this time~

How to order at Menya Seoul: dongpo pork, jambon or lamb skewer first
For the Menya Seoul menu, you first choose between dongpo pork / jambon / lamb skewer, then pick your broth! Last time the jambon was so tender, and especially the dongpo pork tasted like it came from a specialty restaurant — I really enjoyed it!

I've never tried the spicy version, but looking at the photo, a fiery ramen on a chilly day sounds amazing too! The jambon char siu has smooth jambon with a clean broth — I'd recommend it to anyone who likes classic ramen~ The dongpo pork ramen mixes Chinese and Japanese flavors, making it richer and more interesting to eat!

Mazesoba is a menu item I hadn't seen before, so I added it since it's being sold now~ Plain white rice is great too, but since we're a couple trying to diet, we sadly passed on it ㅠㅠ (and then ordered side dishes anyway ㅋㅅㅋ)

There were new summer menu items too. We debated between the cold ramen and the mazesoba, and went with mazesoba~ For sides, we ordered gara-age and crispy gyoza. Next time I'm curious about the king shrimp cold ramen too~ It would be so refreshing to eat on a hot summer day.

Where to sit: seats right in front of Menya Seoul
Menya Seoul has a clean, clearly marked sign, so we grabbed a seat right in front of the shop~ Other food courts usually require you to claim a table separately, but here there are seats right at the storefront, which was convenient and nice!

Why the set saves 3,900 won, plus a double upgrade
At Menya Seoul, ordering the set menu lets you eat at a price ₩3,900 cheaper~ We were debating between à la carte and set, and went with the set!
We heard that ordering the set menu lets you upgrade to a double portion, so we went with the set!

If you participate in the review event, you even get a free hot spring egg! Who doesn't like a hot spring egg if you love ramen, right? Definitely try participating~!

There's also lemon kelp vinegar and chili oil provided for the mazesoba~ I especially love it when a bit of acidity kicks in with the food! Definitely try adding a little bit~

Dongpo pork ramen piled with kelp and bean sprouts
The dongpo pork ramen arrived~ Menya Seoul piles on plenty of kelp topping and bean sprouts, so it's fun to eat the whole way through~ The set gyoza was fried crispy too, which was great!

Not just the toppings — the broth is amazing too... Highly recommend it to anyone craving ramen on a cold day.

Trying pork belly mazesoba and gara-age for the first time
Next up was the mazesoba, which we tried for the first time~ Loaded with pork belly, it looked even more generous~ Menya Seoul really doesn't skimp on meat. Even eating it alongside the ramen, there was still plenty of meat left — such a hearty portion bb

The mazesoba served with gara-age looked gorgeous~ The gara-age had a solid, classic flavor, so if you like fried chicken, it's great paired with ramen!

And that's our whole meal laid out! The portions were generous enough for two, and we ate until we were stuffed!
If you love ramen, I hope you visit this place! Especially with the mazesoba, adding a bit of lemon vinegar keeps it from getting boring until the very last bite~

My boyfriend and I completely cleared our bowls haha! Next time we're at Incheon Lotte Department Store, I think we'll come eat at Menya Seoul again!
