Coffee Dripper on Nanseolheon-ro: a big Gangneung café next to Toetmaru Coffee

Today I want to introduce Coffee Dripper, a coffee spot I visited during my Gangneung trip. Right next to Toetmaru Coffee, Coffee Dripper is a large café I'd actually spotted while passing through Gangneung this past spring. Since I really love exploring cafés, I'd been wanting to check out this good-looking Gangneung café.

Can you get a seat at Coffee Dripper on a weekday morning?

With great natural light, Coffee Dripper has a really warm feel. I'm someone who prefers a woody, woody interior, so I thought this was a café with great atmosphere! Visiting on a weekday morning meant the café was uncrowded, and I loved being able to grab exactly the seat I wanted.

Coffee Dripper apparently opened back in 2012. Green plants were tucked in all over the place, giving off a fresh, lively impression. There was good spacing between tables too, so it never felt cramped. The interior looked spotless, like everything was brand new, and hearing that the owner has been roasting for over 10 years made me even more excited — a total pro!

Why Coffee Dripper works for laptop work

The staff were kind too, which was nice! The restroom was very clean and located inside the building, so it was easy to use. This felt like a perfect spot for working from a café. Also great for a date with a partner.

In one corner of the café, Coffee Dripper goods were on sale. T-shirts, plates, teacups, coffee beans — all of it had great taste. Coffee Dripper is apparently a newer café. The background music selection was also so good I wanted to stay for hours. A café I'd definitely recommend to friends visiting Gangneung!

Coffee Dripper croffin and dessert prices

The croffin (croissant + muffin) flavors they're apparently famous for — vanilla, chocolate, black sesame! All priced at ₩5,500. The financiers also looked so soft and delicious. There was a menu poster too, so I spent a while deciding what drink to order. Since I'd eaten a big lunch beforehand, it was almost a shame I couldn't try the desserts! Checking Naver reviews, apparently Coffee Dripper is known as a dessert spot.

What we ordered: cone choco latte 8,000 won and iced pine needle matcha latte 7,000 won

The terrace seats, which seemed perfect for enjoying coffee on a nice day, also looked great. This time I picked a cone choco latte for ₩8,000 and an iced pine needle matcha latte for ₩7,000. If I come back, I want to try the other signature menu items — the dripper latte and the Chodang sundubu (tofu) pudding.

Starting with me, customers kept streaming in one after another. I think it's because the space is just so pretty and appealing. It's nice alone, but I feel like it'd be even better with family! Photos would probably turn out looking great here too. I'm honestly so proud of myself for discovering a great coffee spot in Gangneung~

My order came out quickly. Photographed together, they somehow looked even prettier. There were plenty of outlets too, so I got my phone fully charged. Checking Naver Place, I noticed the owner regularly posts explanations about the coffee beans.

The cone choco latte comes hot only, with heart latte art

The cone choco latte apparently only comes hot, but with this cute heart-shaped latte art too. After finishing the coffee, there's a sweet chocolate cone waiting, letting me end things on a perfectly sweet note.

How the pine needle matcha latte tastes

Maybe because of the pine needle, this matcha latte had a fragrance quite different from the matcha lattes I usually have, and I really loved it. Sweet enough to give me a real sugar boost!

A café I'd want to come back to — Coffee Dripper. I think it'll stay in my memory for a long time. I'll have to stop by again next time I'm in Gangneung.
