Where Pyeongdae Alhi is, its hours and parking

We arrived at Pyeongdae Alhi under a clear Jeju sky, with plenty of parking space laid out. The sky, grass and palm trees looked especially pretty today^^
Shall we go in?? This is Pyeongdae Alhi, run by a solo chef.❗️
What the interior of Pyeongdae Alhi feels like
Opening the door, cute little props and dried flowers greeted us. Through the window, the blue sky and green yard sat framed like a picture. On the wall hung celebrities' autographs and restaurant certificates side by side, and it really made me feel how word-of-mouth famous this place is.

What comes in the set for two
We'd already reserved the menu ahead, so we just picked drinks off the menu.
- Rice bowl + steak set (2-person set)
- Alhi rice bowl + sous-vide tenderloin steak + alhi salad + 2 ades (green tangerine, hallabong)

The secret room you push into after ordering
Pyeongdae Alhi has a separate secret space you enter by pushing a vintage wooden door handle after you order and pay. A note by the door said you can push it open once you've paid. Oh, intriguing! Oh, exciting!! Great concept.😆 It's like walking into a secret room, haha
Pushing the door open, a secret space appeared. There was a bar lined with pretty lights and rows of wine bottles. A photo zone with classic furniture came into view too. Vintage dresses and props together created a romantic mood.👍
A long wooden table sits stylishly in the center. The decorations and lighting hanging from the ceiling make the space even more special. It felt like a scene from a medieval film where a host is serving guests a meal.
By the window, there's a cozy sofa seat with a colorful floral pattern. It carries a romantic Jeju feel that matches the sunny weather perfectly.
The bar table seats facing the green scenery outside the window were impressive too. Aren't the chairs lined up by the window so pretty? If you're having a drink, this is definitely the spot!! 👍👍👍
There were cute little horse figurines under soft lighting. Charming details are hidden all around. The unique ladder-shaped shelves on the wall were also filled with props. Waiting for the food at Pyeongdae Alhi, this east-Jeju favorite full of emotional touches, was really enjoyable.^^ The uniquely styled draft beer dispenser caught my eye — I wondered if it was just decoration or actually poured beer. I asked later, and it really does pour beer.😁

The bread before the meal and the house sauce
Now the food we ordered started coming out. First up was a light pre-meal bread with special sauce. The warm, soft bread was delicious dipped straight in the sauce, and also great topped with salad or steak. We ended up ordering an extra piece of bread later.

Today's main dishes filled the table. It was such a hearty spread that just looking at it made me hungry. The colors were so pretty too, right??

The alhi salad
This salad had plump butter shrimp piled on fresh vegetables. The combo of tangy dressing and savory shrimp worked really well together. The whipped cream on either side paired nicely too.

How the sous-vide black pork tenderloin steak tastes
Pyeongdae Alhi's sous-vide black pork tenderloin steak was tender with zero gamey smell. Next we tried the black pork sous-vide tenderloin steak, which had a mouth-watering look. So this is how tender sous-vide can be!! The roasted vegetables (mushroom, garlic, onion, sweet pumpkin, asparagus) paired with avocado and pollack roe were an absolute standout. You have to try this!

What's in the alhi rice bowl and how to eat it
Pyeongdae Alhi's alhi rice bowl is topped with fresh marinated sweet shrimp, avocado, and salmon roe. Underneath there's vegetables, garlic chips, and rice. It was our first time trying it, but my partner gave it a thumbs-up!

We followed the suggested way to enjoy the alhi rice bowl exactly. It's not complicated at all~^^

We added extra bread and topped it with salad, shrimp, and even steak, trying all kinds of combos. How could that not be delicious?

Green tangerine and hallabong ade
A refreshing ade with such a pretty color. There were tiny bits of green tangerine and hallabong right in the drink. Tangy, sweet, and delicious.

Who Pyeongdae Alhi suits best
Before we knew it, our plates were completely empty. Both the food and the atmosphere made for a truly perfect meal. If you're looking for a great restaurant on Jeju's east side, be sure to visit Pyeongdae Alhi in Gujwa-eup!! Highly, highly recommended^^
