Have you heard of Ganppa Beer, the hot bar in Gwangalli?! I saw a reel of them pouring beer so beautifully that I promised myself I'd go the next time I hit Busan, and honestly, this visit lived up to the hype!

Where is Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2, and what are the hours?

Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 is at 10 Gwangan-ro 62beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, open daily from 18:00 to 02:00 (last order 01:00). It's standing-bar seating, no-kids zone, and totally fine for solo drinking.

A huge plus of Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 is that there's no wait ✨ It's also close to Gwangan Station, so the location is great. The exterior alone is so hip it caught my eye right away haha.

Walk in and staff help you order and seat you right away! They were super friendly and funny from the moment we saw them lol.

Ebisu draft at Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 is ₩11,900, and Sapporo draft is ₩8,900. There's also a cheaper set menu if you order both together.

You don't have to order side dishes, but the lineup is so good and such good value that I really recommend you do!! We were already full, so we kept it simple with two Sapporo drafts, the ₩5,900 crispy akkasomyeon (dried squid strips), and the ₩7,900 real honey yogurt drink!

What is the vibe like at 10pm on a weeknight?

When we walked in around 10pm, it was genuinely packed. Apparently it's famous as a spot for round two ✨ The second photo is from a brief lull when customers had thinned out, but it filled right back up..!

They bring the drinks to your table, but I really wanted to watch the pour, so I took a photo haha. Exactly the technique from the reel!

Apparently pouring it so the foam flows down like that makes it smoother! Watching the pour was so fascinating and fun.

Crispy akkasomyeon and the real honey yogurt drink

Crispy akkasomyeon (dried squid strips) is ₩5,900, and real honey yogurt drink is ₩7,900. This was the perfect Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 side-dish combo for when you're full but still want your mouth to have something to do.

Cheers with my boyfriend, and out came the crispy akkasomyeon :) The name has 'myeon' (noodles) in it so you'd think it's noodles, but it's actually dried squid strips. Great texture, tasty, one of our favorite side dishes! Perfect for when you're full but your mouth is bored ✨

The second side dish we ordered was the real honey yogurt drink. This is seriously~~~~~~~~~~ good,, 🤍 sweet, tangy, better than sugared tomatoes if you ask me. I think any woman would love this. Try it when you're already full too haha.

The rock-paper-scissors free beer event when a keg runs dry

At Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2, whenever a draft keg runs out, they hold a rock-paper-scissors event and give one winner a free beer. I was only there about an hour on a weeknight, and it happened twice in that time.

The vibe was so good 🤍

And guess what, I won it..? Lolllll there were like 20 people, and somehow it happened. I guess that just shows how fast the draft turns over and how fresh it is?! Ganppa Beer is the best..✨

We tried both the Sapporo draft and the Ebisu beer I won :) Ebisu felt smoother! My boyfriend likes Ebisu, and I like Sapporo haha.

Photo zone and black-and-white photo booth: good for a date?

Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 has a hip photo zone and a black-and-white photo machine, so I felt it was a great date spot!

A perfect beer ring left on the glass. That's how good the beer was. Confirmed: this is a great spot for Sapporo draft!

Is the standing bar seating uncomfortable?

After a full day of sightseeing and sore legs, I worried the standing bar seating at Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 would be tough, but between the delicious draft beer, the side dishes, and the fun atmosphere, over an hour flew by without me noticing.
