Hi everyone~~ Today's spot is basically a required stop after visiting Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan. The dumplings are great and the cold noodles are especially good, so a lot of families come here. This is the Cheonan Independence Hall food spot, dumpling place Omi Omi Handmade Dumpling Hot Pot & Kudzu Naengmyeon Sono Bell Main Branch!

There were four of us today so we could order a variety and share. So this is a my-own-money, ordered-one-of-everything review ㅇㅅㅇ/

Parking and the vibe inside

You can park right in front of the restaurant. It was so crowded — definitely lives up to its reputation as a popular spot ㅇㅅㅇ/ You'll want to stop by after visiting Independence Hall of Korea. I was filling up before heading to a festival, hehe.

Hot pot vs. cold noodles — which was better?

The best part was getting to try both the hot pot and the cold noodles. This Cheonan Independence Hall food spot is known for its dumpling hot pot, but wow, the cold noodles were seriously ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ please, you must try them. The bibim naengmyeon is good too, but the mul naengmyeon just crushes it.

Four free dumplings come with the hot pot

Another great thing — when you order the hot pot, 4 dumplings come with it. You don't have to put them in the pot, you can just eat them straight away ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The dumpling soy sauce is on the side~~ The filling is packed so full it's practically overflowing ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ truly touching hand-made dumplings. Between kimchi and meat, I liked the meat one more.

Rumor has it our little princess ordered extra kimchi dumplings and ate 6 of them

And then the generous hot pot arrives >_< The ramen noodles you add to the hot pot are at the self-serve bar. I grabbed one and put it in ㅎㅎㅎ

Speaking of which, let's check out the self-serve bar too ㅎㅎㅎ There was dumpling soup dough (sujebi) ?!!? so I grabbed some ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ After eating some of the solid ingredients, I added the dough too. You could also add more broth.

Whew,, this Cheonan Independence Hall food spot,, just look at these noodles,, how is the broth this good?? Turns out it's made by boiling beef brisket and ox bone.

The moment the noodles arrived ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I inhaled them. You can add mustard and vinegar to taste. Personally I thought it was already so good without them.

Let me say it again, that broth was seriously ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The tteokgalbi we ordered with no expectations stole the show

And then the tteokgalbi we ordered without expecting much ;; The juices come pouring out — kids would eat one each, no problem. It totally stole the spotlight out of nowhere ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

How spicy is the spicy hot pot?

Now it's time to eat the delicious hot pot. It's called spicy, but by my standards it wasn't hot, just refreshing.

This is the bibim naengmyeon broth!! You can just drink it as is, but it was so good I ended up pouring it straight into the pot ㅇㅅㅇ

Eating order: solids → add broth → dough → ramen noodles

We ate the solid ingredients first. Then added more broth, then the dough — there's something fun about tearing off pieces of dough one by one to drop in >_<

I loved that it was packed with hearty ingredients and dumplings too. The dumpling skins are thin and burst easily, so scoop them out carefully.

And we added ramen noodles too. Ramen noodles in hot pot is a must, right??

We added one more round of dumplings too^_^ The hand-made dumplings and the dumpling hot pot are both great, but the cold noodles are number one.

And then, the dessert cold noodles that come with the hot pot!!

How was it as a family meal out?

Every dish was delicious, and we left this Cheonan restaurant happily full!! It's perfect for a family meal out.

It fills up fast ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ but having a parking lot was such a plus. The restaurant was also clean, which made it even better.

Found a great dumpling spot in Cheonan and heading home now. If you're visiting Independence Hall of Korea, definitely give it a try!!
