Where Pulse Line Coffee is and how to walk there

Pulse Line Coffee is about a 10-minute walk from Seoul National University Station. If you're looking for a café in Sharosu-gil, I'd recommend it!

The storefront on Sharosu-gil

It's on the first floor so it's easy to find, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel refreshingly open!

Weekday-morning seats and power outlets

Maybe because I visited on a weekday morning, it was quiet and great for working calmly. There were seats with outlets, and plenty of 1-2 person tables, so it also felt good for coming alone.

There's also a bar table by the window, which looked like a lovely spot to sip coffee at leisure whether the weather's nice or it's raining outside.

The menu and the filter coffee guide

Pulse Line Coffee really does seem to be a coffee specialist — they have a wide range of espresso drinks and cold brew ready.

They also sell filter coffee, with detailed notes posted alongside for bean beginners — so if you love coffee, I'd recommend trying the filter coffee too. I came already knowing the long black here was good, so I ordered that instead haha... but next time I'll try the filter coffee!

How the membership rewards work

One unique thing was the membership program — the accrual rate changes depending on how much you spend, so if you're a coffee lover living nearby, it's worth keeping an eye on.

Baked goods: muffins, pound cakes and pies

For dessert, there were baked goods — three kinds in total: muffins, pound cakes, and pies.

• Pound cakes: two-berry / black sesame
• Pies: brûlée / crumble

Inside Pulse Line Coffee

There's even a cute mirror-shot corner, and the espresso cups and mugs below were so adorable!!

Since it's an open kitchen, you can watch the owner preparing everything — it looked clean, and the red accent design felt trendy too...!

When you order tea, they brew it fresh for you one cup at a time, which makes it even more fragrant.

The three orders: Pulse Latte, long black, brûlée pie

I ordered three things: a long black, the Pulse Latte, and the brûlée pie!

The signature Pulse Latte

✨The Pulse Latte is one of Pulse Line Coffee's signature drinks — and wherever I go, I always end up ordering the signature item haha. It's said to be an herb milk that the owner blends in-house, combined with the sweetness of red beet — moderately sweet with a hint of herbal aroma. If you like a fragrant latte, this is a total must-try.

Iced long black

✨I ordered the long black iced. Since I was already getting dessert, I figured I should get something clean and refreshing to balance it out haha. The beans weren't heavily roasted, so I could really taste the coffee's aroma, and it went down smoothly.

Brûlée pie

✨The brûlée pie comes topped with lemon zest. The crackly top and the soft filling went really well together!

Thanks to the lemon zest sprinkled on top, the aroma that lingered in my mouth was so nice too. They really seem to nail these little details...

Is Pulse Line Coffee worth a visit?

If you've been looking for a calm café in Sharosu-gil to have a good conversation, I'd recommend this one! It's not too loud, so it works well for both working and chatting over good coffee. The neighborhood is quiet too, which makes it even better!
