Bundang BBQ ending in Jeju pork noodle soup: Jeju Monteurak
In short
Jeju Monteurak Bundang Sunae Branch is a Jeju black pork BBQ restaurant about 300m from Sunae Station Exit 1 in Bundang-gu, Seongnam. Before a family trip to Geumsan, the writer ordered the two-person set with extra Jeju pork collar and rice, then finished with Jeju gogi guksu (pork noodle soup) and haemul ramyeon (seafood ramyeon), and staff grilled every cut at the table, which made the meal easy with kids. The pork belly and collar were good, but the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) was the most memorable part.

It was Friday, and we were heading to Geumsan with the kids! Driving straight from Seoul to Geumsan felt like an awkward stretch of time, so we decided to eat a solid dinner on the way before setting off. While looking for a place, we ended up at Jeju Monteurak Bundang Sunae Branch, famous as one of the best BBQ restaurants in Bundang.
It's easy to get to near Sunae Station, and since it's a real spot for Jeju black pork, I felt like I'd picked well before the trip even started :)
We visited with the kids, and the staff were so kind and grilled the meat for us themselves, so the whole meal was really easy and stress-free.
How far is Jeju Monteurak from Sunae Station Exit 1?
Jeju Monteurak Bundang Sunae Branch is about 300m from Sunae Station Exit 1. As soon as we arrived out front, the dol hareubang (Jeju stone grandfather statue) caught my eye first, giving off strong Jeju vibes.
Even from outside, the place looked pretty spacious, so it seemed good not just for family meals but for groups too. Big recommendation for anyone looking for a company dinner spot near Sunae Station. The store was spacious and comfortable.
And especially since staff grill the meat for you, it's not a chaotic 'everyone grilling their own meat' kind of place — it's easy to sit and chat with a group while eating.
One thing that immediately caught my eye was the corkage-free policy! It seemed perfect for meat and a drink, but since we had a long drive to Geumsan ahead, it was a shame we couldn't have one.

What we ordered: two-person set plus extra Jeju pork collar
Side dishes were set out right away, and they already looked delicious 🥰🥰🥰 Time to really dig into the black pork belly and collar. Eek.
We ordered the two-person set + extra Jeju pork collar + rice, and for the noodle/soup menu we added Jeju gogi guksu (pork noodle soup) and haemul ramyeon (seafood ramyeon). The two-person set is the signature combo that comes with black pork belly, collar, and a stew, so it was easy to order without overthinking anything else.
For the stew, you can choose between kimchi jjigae and doenjang jjigae, and we went with doenjang jjigae. The basic side dishes were also a neat lineup that paired well with the meat — shredded green onion, wrap greens, white kimchi, pickled vegetables, and dipping sauces, so we could mix and match the meat in many ways.

Black pork quality at this Bundang BBQ restaurant 🥰🥰
When the meat came out, it looked great right away. The thick pork belly had clearly defined layers of meat and fat, and the collar was also nice and thick — just looking at it was appetizing.
What I loved most was that the staff grilled the meat for us! Going to a BBQ place with kids often means being pulled in two directions — grilling and looking after the kids — but here the staff handled the grilling, which made things so much easier.
They grilled it perfectly over hot charcoal, and you could really taste how good the meat quality was. Ugh, it was genuinely so good. The fat on the belly was savory and chewy while the lean part was juicy, and the collar was thick but never tough.
The kids ate so well too, haha. You can't have Jeju pork without myeoljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) — dipping the well-cooked meat lightly in it added a salty, savory depth that suited it perfectly, as always.

Grilled white kimchi and asparagus on the side
I especially loved grilling white kimchi on the pan and eating it with the meat. It's already tasty on its own, but grilling it makes it softer and pairs even better with the meat — I kept reaching for more.
We also grilled asparagus, and surprisingly, the kids ate a ton of it. Being able to eat vegetables in between bites of meat made for a great combo. The king oyster mushrooms tasted even better than the ones we make at home, haha.

Ha... the visual of this meat is a work of art 🥰🥰

Once with myeoljeot, once with grilled white kimchi, once with shredded green onion. Even though it's the same meat, the flavor changes depending on what you pair it with, so I never got tired of it. In between, I also wrapped some in lettuce leaves — mm, so good 😍😍😍

The pork collar really nailed both the aroma and the chewy texture. This was the first time the kids ate meat this well.

Doenjang jjigae over kimchi jjigae: which stew to choose
The doenjang jjigae here is genuinely so good. And that day, it turned out to be way more powerful than I expected. When ordering the two-person set, you can pick between kimchi jjigae and doenjang jjigae, and I was really glad I chose doenjang jjigae.

One spoonful in and — wow, this is so clean and savory!
BBQ restaurant doenjang jjigae can sometimes be too salty or heavy, but this one was savory with a clean, refreshing broth, so I kept spooning it up 🤣🤣 And the chunky tofu inside! Even the tofu in the stew was delicious, so I inhaled it with rice.
If you're planning to order rice, I'd personally recommend pairing it with the doenjang jjigae 😄😄 It would've been nice to stop there, but under the excuse of eating well before our trip, we went ahead and ordered the noodle dishes too, haha.

Finishing with Jeju pork noodle soup and seafood ramyeon
Following up the Jeju black pork with Jeju gogi guksu (pork noodle soup) gave the whole meal a real Jeju food trip feel. My son said it felt like actual Jeju and loved it, haha. Sharing a warm noodle soup dish after all that meat left us really full and satisfied.
The haemul ramyeon (seafood ramyeon) was also fantastic — both the broth and the noodles. The shrimp were plump, and the gogi guksu had an absolutely overwhelming amount of meat in it, haha.
After the doenjang jjigae and rice, plus the gogi guksu and haemul ramyeon, we truly ate our fill that day before heading off to Geumsan :)
Good for family dinners and work dinners near Sunae Station
Having visited in person, what I liked about Jeju Monteurak Bundang Sunae Branch wasn't just that the meat was good, but that it was genuinely comfortable to eat there. The staff were kind, and since they grill the meat for you, it was easy to bring the kids along. The space is also spacious, so it seems like a solid choice for a company dinner or group meal near Sunae Station too.
Most importantly, the meat quality itself was satisfying. The combo of Jeju black pork belly and collar with myeoljeot and grilled white kimchi was great, but surprisingly, it's the savory, clean doenjang jjigae from that day that I keep thinking about.
We stopped by while looking for somewhere to eat before heading to Geumsan, and the whole family ended up full and happy, starting the trip off on a good note. If you're looking for a good BBQ restaurant near Sunae Station, a company dinner spot near Sunae Station, or one of the best BBQ restaurants in Bundang, definitely check this place out ♡
