Forerest is a large forest-view café at 181 Nogyang-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do. The parking lot is spacious, so it was easy and comfortable to visit by car.

A hidden gem in Nogyang-dong that a friend and I made a special trip to see! From the entrance, lush green trees and fresh nature greeted us — honestly a fine little drive-course destination on its own.

We only drove a little way out of the city, but the air already felt different, so even the drive there put me in a good mood~

True to its status as a large Uijeongbu café with generous grounds, Forerest has pretty photo zones and terrace seating scattered throughout. It made me think this would be a great spot to bring kids next time, so I'm planning a return visit with them :)

Forerest has neatly posted notices about house rules: no outside food allowed, one menu item per person, and limited commercial photography. Pets are welcome too, so it's a really nice spot to combine with a walk!

Warm wood-tone tables, cozy lighting, and green forest views through the windows — the whole stay felt like pure healing~

There was a seat I really wanted, but other guests were sitting there so I couldn't get it in the end — definitely trying for it next time~

What we ordered at Forerest: two Basque cheesecakes and drinks

At Forerest we ordered the signature original Basque cheesecake and chocolate Basque cheesecake, plus a caffe mocha and a vanilla latte. This place is especially famous for its bakery, which boasts a fantastic display and taste, and as a well-known dessert spot, the variety of menu items really caught my eye.

The moment the drinks arrived I couldn't help but sigh with delight — the sweet yet deep-flavored caffe mocha and the smooth vanilla latte both had genuinely excellent coffee quality.

And Forerest's cheesecakes didn't disappoint — they melted in the mouth the moment they touched it, which was pure art. The chocolate Basque cheesecake in particular was the definition of dense and fudgy, giving the rich, moving experience of eating high-quality raw chocolate. If you're looking for a Uijeongbu cake café where you can enjoy delicious dessert alongside good coffee, you absolutely need to save this one.

Is Forerest worth visiting with a friend?

I was lucky to get the chance to visit, but tasting delicious desserts in a cozy, cabin-in-the-woods atmosphere let me truly rest, and I felt happy the whole time I stayed.
