Bacon shrimp basil pasta and a roasting room at Withwich, Guwol-dong
In short
Withwich is a pasta and sandwich brunch restaurant on the first floor of The Blue City in Guwol-dong, Namdong, Incheon. Gambas oil pasta, bacon shrimp basil pasta and a spicy chicken breast sandwich were ordered to share, and a roasting room on one side of the dining room and a 2026 Blue Ribbon sticker stood out. Withwich is a good place to order two pastas with completely different characters, one oil-based and one basil-forward, and split them.

I was looking for a place in Guwol-dong that could do brunch and a proper pasta at the same time, and that's how I ended up at Withwich. I expected a sandwich-focused shop, but the menu turned out to cover pasta, pizza and salad too. It's near the Guwol Seonsuchon rotary so it's easy to get to, and since it opens in the morning it's a solid option whenever you're hunting for Guwol-dong brunch.
Where is Withwich in Guwol-dong, and what does it look like?

Withwich sits on the first floor of The Blue City building. It's visible right from the crosswalk at the rotary, so it wasn't hard to find. The brick exterior with the big With Wich sign means even a first-time visitor can spot it quickly.
Inside Withwich: a wide, comfortable dining room

Walking in, the space is bigger than I expected.

The tables are spaced generously and the big windows let in enough light that the whole place never felt cramped.
Wood-tone tables paired well with the rattan-style chairs, and there were high chairs ready to go. It looked like a good fit whether you're eating solo, on a date, with kids, or in a bigger group.

There's also a roasting room tucked off to one side of the store. A 2026 Blue Ribbon sticker caught my eye too.

The counter area is open-plan and clean,

and you can order coffee and drinks all at the same counter.

Cutlery, water and other essentials were all laid out neatly to one side — it's a self-serve setup.
The roasting room and Blue Ribbon sticker at Withwich

There's actually a lot to look at around the store.

Blue walls, a lemon tree decoration,

and a corner decorated with photos all gave it more of a brunch café atmosphere than a typical pasta restaurant.

For parking, use the shopping-mall-only lot on basement level 2 of The Blue City building. If you need to register your car, just tell a staff member, and taking the elevator at the very back of the lot is the most convenient way up to the restaurant.
What we ordered at Withwich

- Gambas oil pasta
- Bacon shrimp basil pasta
- Spicy chicken breast sandwich
We ordered two pastas plus a sandwich, and once it was all laid out on the table it was more filling than I expected. The pickles from the self-serve bar were nice to snack on between bites.
Gambas oil pasta

The gambas oil pasta caught my eye first. It came loaded with big shrimp, roasted cherry tomatoes and garlic in oil — the look alone was appetizing.

Basil aroma layered with shrimp and garlic, finished with a touch of heat from peperoncino. At spice level 1 it wasn't sharply spicy so much as a gentle warmth that cut through the richness. The oil sauce soaked into the noodles nicely, so it stayed moist all the way through.
Bacon shrimp basil pasta

Next was the bacon shrimp basil pasta, deeply green in color. The basil aroma came through clearly, and with shrimp and bacon both in the mix, the flavor was quite rich.

The plump, generously sized shrimp were especially satisfying. If you like basil, this one will suit you well.

Where the gambas leans on the savory richness of garlic and oil, this one leans harder into fragrant basil. The two pastas have different enough personalities that ordering both to share worked out great.

With a decaf Americano and green grape ade alongside, it turned into a lineup that covered brunch and lunch at once.
Spicy chicken breast sandwich

Last up was the spicy chicken breast sandwich. Cut in half, the cross-section alone looked substantial. They say the chicken breast is sous vide in-house, and the thick slices came packed with vegetables and red onion.

Even though it's chicken breast, it wasn't dry at all — moist, with a spicy kick layered on top that made it easy to eat cleanly. At spice level 2 it has a bit of a kick, but nowhere near a 'this is way too spicy' level. Even a spice wimp could enjoy it! It works well alongside the pastas, but the sandwich alone is filling enough to stand as a solid Guwol-dong brunch option on its own.
