Why Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Garak Flagship is a Garak-dong favorite
This is Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang, a gopchang (beef intestine) restaurant in Garak-dong. Hi, I'm Hyoyun, the food-hunting blogger! I love gopchang and I've eaten a lot of it, but this is my all-time favorite gopchang place! I honestly can't remember how many years I've been coming here.

If you're looking for good gopchang in Garak-dong, you've probably heard of Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Garak Flagship. It's near Garak Market Station so it's easy to get to, and it's known for being busy — a place that keeps coming up whenever people talk about the best gopchang in Garak-dong. It's a genuinely famous local favorite.

Location and parking: a short walk from Garak Market Station
It's also consistently ranked near the top in restaurant data for gopchang in Garak-dong. Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Garak Flagship is located at 27 Songpadae-ro 28-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, 1F of the Seongwon Sangtteville Building 102.
It's close to Garak Market Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit, and there's parking available too, so coming by car isn't too much of a hassle. You might wander a bit trying to find the storefront after parking, but if you just walk around a little you'll spot it right on the main road.
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang menu and prices
The signature menu here is, of course, beef gopchang. Current prices are ₩19,000 for beef gopchang, ₩19,000 for beef daechang, and ₩20,000 for beef makchang, and there's a variety of dishes to enjoy alongside the intestines. The prices are such a steal, right?

Three orders of gopchang for two, packed with gop
When you order gopchang, it comes pre-grilled and staff grill it for you right at the table, which makes it a fairly easy, approachable dish even for first-timers. This time, the two of us ate 3 servings of gopchang!
What stands out especially is how full the intestines are with gop (the fat inside), which a lot of reviews say suits people who love that rich, savory flavor. I also think the gopchang here is the best — whenever someone asks me for a recommendation, I confidently point them here.
Daechang is soft and rich, while makchang is popular with people who love a chewy texture. I used to order daechang 1, gopchang 2 pretty often. If you like daechang, that combo is great too!

Three kinds of kimchi with minari and aged-garlic sauce
One more thing you shouldn't skip at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang is the kimchi and sauces served with the intestines. You get a set of 3 house-made kimchi, and eating the scallion kimchi together with the gopchang is said to cut through the richness nicely. The sauce made with minari (water celery) and aged garlic also adds to the savory flavor of the gopchang.

Finishing with yangbap fried rice or anchovy broth noodles
Once you've had enough gopchang, I'd recommend the finishing dishes too. Kkakdugi (radish kimchi) aged-garlic yangbap (fried rice) is ₩9,000, and anchovy noodle soup is ₩6,000. In particular, the yangbap made with kkakdugi, aged garlic, and teukyang (premium intestine bits) makes a great closing dish after the gopchang.
Wait times, atmosphere and opening hours
That said, if you're looking for a quiet, relaxed meal, the atmosphere here is something to consider. Since it's so popular, reviews say it can get pretty lively and noisy during meal times. There's sometimes a wait, so if you want a relaxed visit, it's best to avoid peak hours.
Hours are listed as Sunday through Thursday 12:00 to 23:00, and Friday and Saturday 12:00 to 24:00. I'd recommend checking for any changes before you visit. It's a restaurant with a wait, so keep that in mind.
On a day when you're craving proper Korean beef gopchang in Garak-dong, and you want to enjoy gopchang, daechang, and makchang all loaded with gop, this is the place — Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Garak Flagship. I'd recommend going for the full course: gopchang with kimchi and sauce, finished off with yangbap or anchovy noodle soup. It's a genuinely great restaurant, so you can trust it and go.
