In short
Working Holiday Minrak is an ocean-view brunch café on the 7th floor of Badamaru in Minrak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, facing Gwangan Bridge. A weekend visit brought eggs Benedict paired with cold draft beer, plus aglio olio and Margherita pizza, with the garlic and pepperoncino oil staying clean to the last strand of pasta. A 7th-floor brunch café in Minrak-dong facing Gwangan Bridge head-on

On a weekend trip to Gwangalli, where the sea breeze was drifting in, I finally made it to a hotspot I'd had bookmarked in my mind for ages! There's nothing quite as healing as stepping away from the daily grind and enjoying brunch with the wide-open emerald sea and the majestic Gwangan Bridge right in front of you 🥹

This time I visited Working Holiday Minrak (워킹홀리데이앤나잇, Working Holiday & Night), a well-known Gwangalli brunch café famous for its sweeping Gwangan Bridge ocean view.

The moment I opened the door, the sea view unfolding beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows was breathtaking — I was already won over before I even sat down ✨

I was convinced it couldn't get better than this for a sweet date with a partner, a meal with friends you haven't seen in a while, or a family gathering 🤍

This spot is also known locally simply as Working Holiday Minrak-dong!

It's close to Minrak-dong Waterfront Park and Gwangalli Beach, so it's very accessible, and since you can enjoy brunch, meals, and high-quality specialty coffee from morning to evening, it's a comfortable visit no matter the time of day.

Group seating and seat spacing — good for family gatherings too?
The interior is laid out with a mix of cozy and wide-open tables, thoughtfully arranged so you can enjoy the space no matter what kind of gathering you're having 👏

With generous seat spacing and properly sized group tables, it works just as well for a big group gathering or a family meal with parents in tow. Watching the vibe of the place, it's easy to see why both travelers to Busan and local residents keep coming back!
The fragrant specialty coffee combined with the coziness of the sea makes it a can't-miss recommendation for a relaxed café visit in Gwangalli!

Eggs Benedict with a glass of draft beer
After marveling at the view, I thought it over and ordered the café's signature dishes! The first to arrive was the Australian-style eggs Benedict, an essential item for a leisurely brunch time 🤍

The plating alone was Instagram-worthy — neat and elegant enough to make me gasp the moment I saw it.

The salty, thin slices of jambon ham on top of the thick, golden-toasted bread were a real treat! A plump poached egg sat prettily on top, with a savory, smooth sauce flowing over everything.
When I gently broke the poached egg with my fork and knife, the yolk spilled out and soaked into the ingredients, delivering an incredible richness 🥹 The balance of softness, saltiness, and freshness from the very first bite was perfect.

Paired with a cold draft beer, it was the best brunch dish I've had at a Gwangalli café — pure happiness ✨

Aglio olio, clean to the very last strand
Next up was the aglio olio pasta, the definition of clean and savory!

This aglio olio wasn't overdone — the kick from the sliced garlic and pepperoncino soaked deeply into the oil, so it stayed clean and light with zero greasiness all the way to the last strand 😋

Topping the moist noodles with a bit of extra garlic gave a great texture and kept me coming back for more!

Margherita pizza made from dough kneaded fresh every day
But the dish that completely won me over was the authentic Naples-style Margherita pizza 🍕 The café reportedly kneads its dough in-house every day and lets it ferment for a long time before baking.

The moment I picked up a slice of the freshly baked, golden pizza, the smell of toasty bread, fragrant fresh basil, and chewy mozzarella all burst out at once.
Even the crust (cornicione) was light and chewy with nothing to leave behind! Everyone at the table agreed it was delicious.

The bright, rich tomato sauce paired with the fresh cheese showed exactly what a true, authentic pizza should be — I had no hesitation calling this a top pizza spot in Gwangalli 👍

From daytime brunch to nighttime views
I left feeling truly pampered the entire meal 🕯️ It's great for a light brunch early in the morning, and just as wonderful in the evening for a cool drink or glass of wine while watching Gwangan Bridge glow softly at night ✨ If you're looking for a romantic date spot with someone special, or a reliable place for the whole family to eat and laugh together, don't hesitate to visit!
