Suyeong café for drone-show views: Working Holiday Minrak

In short

Working Holiday Minrak is a brunch café on the seventh floor of Badamaru Building in Suyeong, Busan, with close-up Gwangan Bridge and beach views. On a trip to Busan, my husband and I had salmon eggs Benedict and Margherita pizza, then lingered over the terrace and night view. Verdict: a beautiful spot I want to revisit on a drone-show night.

It had been a while since my husband and I had taken a trip to Busan together. His exams had just ended, so he was incredibly excited for this first trip afterward. Everywhere we went that day felt wonderful, but I want to introduce the Gwangalli brunch café in front of Gwangan Bridge that we loved most.

A seventh-floor brunch café by Gwangan Bridge

When you think of Busan, Haeundae and Gwangalli are the most famous areas, and the more I look at Gwangan Bridge, the more impressive it is. Today, we decided to visit Working Holiday Minrak on the seventh floor of the building right beside the bridge you can see in the distance.

Visiting Working Holiday Minrak on the seventh floor near Gwangan Bridge

Working Holiday Minrak is on the seventh floor of Badamaru Building, so you can take in the full Gwangalli view and see Gwangan Bridge from very close by. It is also a prime spot for watching the drone show.

Until sunset, we sat on the steps along Gwangalli Beach, chatting as we looked at Gwangan Bridge and the sea. Around the time the sun began to go down, we started getting hungry. I suggested we finally go to Working Holiday Minrak, a Gwangalli brunch favorite I had wanted to try.

There is a parking lot around the back of the building. We parked in the underground garage and headed up to the seventh floor.

Gwangalli night views and terrace atmosphere

The moment we entered, I thought, “I’m so glad we came.” With Gwangalli Beach and the sea spread out before us, it was a real night-view spot.

The interior was so elegant and pretty too. It is exactly the kind of place to come for a special day like this.

There was a terrace outside too, and it genuinely made me go, “Wow.” My other half was so excited. He kept saying how much he loved it! Honestly, he had been studying nonstop, so it had been a very long time since we had traveled like this. Seeing how happy he was to get some fresh air and come somewhere lovely made me feel so happy too.

It is right in front of Gwangan Bridge, so you can see the sparkling bridge at night in one glance. So pretty, right? I want to come back again the next time I visit Busan.

Brunch and pizza ordered in the evening

Let me show you the menu photos.

Working Holiday Minrak menu

It is a Gwangalli brunch café, but there is pizza and pasta as well as brunch. You can order the brunch menu in the evening too. Although the atmosphere feels upscale, the food prices were not expensive, so we ordered without feeling burdened. We ordered a beer as well.

The café drinks were not overly expensive either, and the prices felt very reasonable for enjoying this atmosphere. At this level, the pricing is not bad at all compared with a typical brunch café.

Salmon eggs Benedict and Margherita pizza

We ordered the salmon eggs Benedict and Margherita pizza. The salmon eggs Benedict, topped with salmon, is a brunch dish and one of my absolute favorites. They do it so deliciously here. Highly recommended.

The pizza dough was truly a work of art. The crust was so good that I found myself picking out and eating just the crust. It was a light, delicious pizza.

Looking at this, doesn’t the atmosphere seem amazing? It was such a happy, blissful time. Spending time out with my husband after so long made it even better. It was the kind of place where we wanted to stay so long that we did not want to go home.

Next time, for the drone show

Next time, I want to come back to watch the drone show. Since it is on the seventh floor, people say it is a prime viewing spot for it.

It was a Gwangalli brunch café with a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. I did not want to go home, but we left the café because I had work the next day.

An egg tart to go

On the way out, I spotted an egg tart that I love. It looked so appetizing that I simply could not pass it by. I really, really love egg tarts. I asked if I could take one away, and since I could, I packed one up and ate it in the car on the way back to Daegu. It was truly delicious. Such a moving egg tart! Working Holiday Minrak was a café with delicious desserts too.
