Suyeong, Busan brunch café for salmon benedict: Famous Benny

Whoa, Famous Benny—the brunch café where we ate ridiculously well on Garosu-gil in Changwon. Turns out one opened in Gwangalli, Busan too! We zipped right over on one of our kid-free couple’s days!

What about the exterior and parking?

Oho, it was near one of my favorite brunch cafés that I’ve visited several times!

Oho, it had a Blue Ribbon badge! Makes sense. It’s delicious!! There isn’t separate parking, so we quickly used a nearby public parking lot.

Inside: second-floor terrace and high chairs

Oho, it was nice that they had high chairs inside too. It feels like more places have them these days, since people born in the ’90s are having lots of babies. Good, good.

There’s a second floor too, so up we went. Oho, it was pretty with that terrace vibe. Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch was clean and tidy all around.

Shall we hurry up and order? There were lots of drinks and lots of brunch choices too. I think you can view the photo menu with that QR code. After much deliberation, we ordered this lot. So satisfying~~~ You can also add toppings to each brunch menu item. Good, good.

Eek, the dishes came out pretty quickly~~ A staff member brought them over personally. Good, good.

First, we cleanly inhaled the iced Americano. Oho, Desert Fox said the beans here were nutty and tasty. It was just right with brunch.

Eek, then shall we properly dig into brunch? Could it carry on the Changwon magic?

The Famous Benny Salmon

Oho, The Famous Benny Salmon is practically Famous Benny’s signature dish! There’s a bacon option too, but we like salmon better, you know,,! There was a poached egg and salmon on top, with fluffy bread underneath. And those garlic flakes or whatever they were? So charming. Like a fancy version of eggs Benedict. Anyway, unbelievably delicious.

Avocado toast

Next was the avocado toast! Wow, the bread underneath was wonderfully crisp—kind of like garlic baguette vibes—and delicious all on its own. There was a huge amount of avocado piled on top too. Amazing!~~ Avocado gives you the best fullness, right? Delicious as expected,,,

Yogurt bowl with a cinnamon kick

Last up, a yogurt bowl for digestion! Oho, the cinnamon granola, blueberries, and banana were such a tasty combination. The cinnamon aroma was the kick. We happily slurped it up like dessert.

Changwon’s magic, even in Gwangalli

As expected, Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch has sauces piled on generously, so it has to be delicious. We could feel that same Changwon magic right here in Gwangalli. There’s definitely a reason it earned that Blue Ribbon! Highly recommended!
