Where Baekseok Kkogijip is and when it opens
Baekseok Kkogijip is 316 meters from Baekseok Station Exit 5. It's open daily from 12:00 to 01:00 the next day, with last order at 00:00, and closed every Tuesday. There's one parking spot in front of the restaurant, and a street-side public parking lot nearby in Baekseok if that's full.
A Goyang BBQ restaurant that grills the pork for you
Today I'm introducing 'Baekseok Kkogijip.' These days when you go out for Korean BBQ, there's often one person stuck grilling while everyone else just eats, haha. But I heard this place grills all the meat in the kitchen before it comes out, so while hunting for good food in Baekseok, I decided to check it out.
Especially on hot days, sitting right by the grill the whole time at a BBQ place can be surprisingly rough — so having the meat come out already grilled turned out to be more convenient than I expected.
We ordered the 3–4 person set that day. It comes with a 630g raw meat platter, a yukhoe taster, and kimchi stew, and lets you eat samgyeopsal (pork belly) and pork neck together — a solid order for a group BBQ trip. The meat itself was pretty good, and with the yukhoe and kimchi stew alongside, we ended up eating more generously than I expected, haha. Let's get into the detailed review.
Inside Baekseok Kkogijip: seating and atmosphere

The 'Baekseok Kkogijip' sign was big and easy to spot from the outside, so finding the place wasn't hard at all.

Right by the entrance was a simple menu board.

Inside, the space was bigger than I expected. With multiple tables, it seemed fine for two people or for a bigger group. Looking around, there were tables with several people eating together, so I could see why this might be a go-to spot for group dinners near Baekseok Station.
What's on the menu at Baekseok Kkogijip

Looking at the menu, alongside the raw meat platter there were meat options like samgyeopsal and pork neck, plus marinated grilled pork and marinated beef short rib, so the range was pretty wide. Yukhoe was also on the menu, and just like what we ordered, you could get a set with meat, yukhoe, and stew all together.

The banchan (side dishes) came out clean and varied, living up to its reputation as a solid samgyeopsal spot in Baekseok.

There's also a self-serve bar, so you just help yourself.
The 71,000 won set for 3–4: a 630g mixed raw meat platter

- 3–4 person set ₩71,000 — 630g raw meat platter + yukhoe taster + choice of kimchi stew or doenjang rice soup
The raw meat 3–4 person set came with a 630g meat platter plus a yukhoe taster, and you could choose either kimchi stew or doenjang rice soup on the side.

Once our 3–4 person set arrived, the table filled up piece by piece and it was more generous than I expected. With the meat, yukhoe, kimchi stew, and all the sides laid out, I snapped a few photos before digging in, haha.

Best of all, the meat came already grilled to perfection. The samgyeopsal and pork neck were cut into easy-to-eat pieces, so we could just pick them up and eat right away.
There was zero gamey smell, and the meat was evenly grilled to a nice golden brown, so it was good from the very first bite, haha.

Why the samgyeopsal fat tasted nutty, not greasy
The samgyeopsal's fat, in particular, was nutty and savory. It wasn't mushy or greasy — the nutty flavor really came through. Normally I leave behind parts with too much fat, but that day I ended up eating even the fatty bits, haha.

It was good just eaten plain, and it also went well with shredded scallions or piled onto lettuce with other toppings.

Adding a clove of garlic and wrapping it up as a ssam (lettuce wrap) — that combo never fails, haha.

Since the meat was already grilled, there was no risk of it burning while you took your time wrapping a ssam, which I loved.
The pork neck, just like the samgyeopsal, was mild yet nutty in flavor — satisfying in both texture and taste.

The yukhoe taster and the kimchi stew
The yukhoe taster that came with the set was better than expected too. It had that signature soft texture of yukhoe and felt fresh, making it a nice bite to pick at between rounds of meat.
And the kimchi stew that day was pretty impressive as well. I ordered it just as a side to go with the meat, but it turned out to have way more meat in it than I expected.

The broth was on the spicy side too, so a bite of meat followed by a spoonful of kimchi stew broth felt like a total palate reset.
Final verdict: is Baekseok Kkogijip right for a group dinner?
What stuck with me most about 'Baekseok Kkogijip' was how easy it was to eat without grilling anything yourself. Even though the meat came pre-grilled, it had no gamey smell and was cooked well, and the fatty parts of the samgyeopsal were nutty enough that I enjoyed it quite a lot. The yukhoe was fresh and good to snack on in between, and the kimchi stew had plenty of meat and a spicy kick that paired well with everything.
Personally, when I'm looking for a good BBQ spot in Baekseok, the taste of the meat matters, but so does whether everyone I'm with can eat comfortably — and this place nailed that. Nobody had to stay glued to the grill, so it was easy to keep chatting while eating, haha.
So I'd say this is a solid pick for anyone looking for a group dinner spot near Baekseok Station, or anyone who just wants to eat BBQ comfortably with a group. Especially if you're on the hunt for good samgyeopsal in Baekseok, this set — with samgyeopsal, yukhoe, and kimchi stew all together — is worth checking out.
