25cm katsu plate at a Buldang-dong pork cutlet restaurant: Jinsim Wang

Today I visited Jinsim Wang Donkatsu in Buldang-dong, Cheonan. This place only uses grade-1 certified fresh Korean pork loin, and it's apparently a favorite among locals in Buldang-dong. They told me their rule is daily aging, daily breading, and frying everything fresh in-store. Maybe that's why it tasted so good! This is a review written after receiving support from the restaurant, but I'll be honest with you, no lies here!

Where is it? Across from Mulchongsae Park in Buldang-dong

The restaurant sits across from Mulchongsae Park in Buldang-dong. Since it's on the corner of the building's first floor, it's visible from far away. So it was really easy to find!

Inside the restaurant and what's on the self-serve bar

The interior of Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang is really spacious and comfortable. The tables are spaced far apart, so it's fine for chatting too. It looked like a great spot to spend quality time with friends. I got there 10 minutes before opening after asking permission in advance, so there was no one around — but by the time I left, tons of families were coming in.

Inside there are aprons, soup, a stew, and a self-serve bar. Personally, the soup was really good! It was salty in the best way — a total rice thief before the cutlets even arrived.

Spoons and chopsticks are stored right under your seat like this. Nicely organized and clean!

And near the exit, there's a self-packing station like this! Why is this necessary? Because the portions are so big you might have leftovers! Haha.

What's on the menu and how much does it cost?

Overall, Jinsim Wang Donkatsu's prices sit in the low-to-mid ₩10,000s. As you can see in the photos above, the main menu has various kinds of pork cutlets. There are also rice and noodle dishes! If you're looking for a good kalguksu (hand-cut noodle soup) spot in Cheonan, I recommend this place!

There's a good variety of side dishes too. There are desserts kids would love as well!

Here's what I ordered this time! The Jinsim Wang Donkatsu and the Cheese Waterfall Donkatsu. I always order these two whenever I come here — and there's a reason for that!

How big is the 25cm Jinsim Wang Donkatsu?

First off, the Jinsim Wang Donkatsu is huge! According to the owner, it's 25cm across, and honestly, I believe it, haha. It's bigger than my hand haha. And there's so much meat packed inside the breading that it's become one of my favorite dishes. If you want a good pork cutlet in Buldang, I recommend Jinsim Wang Donkatsu!

Cheese Waterfall Donkatsu: cheese over the edge

The other dish is the Cheese Waterfall Donkatsu. Honestly this is my absolute favorite — you'll see why once you look at the photo. The cheese really pours out like a waterfall. So instead of cutting it up, I just picked it up with chopsticks and bit right in, haha. It's savory, and if you love cheese, you really won't regret it!
