Weekend family outing at Pine Terrace, a large café in Wondang, Goyang

I went to a slightly special café with the kids this weekend :) The place was Pine Terrace, located in Wondang, Goyang. Rather than just a café for coffee and bread, there was so much to see and enjoy with the kids that it doubled as a nice family outing spot.

The moment I walked in, I loved the open, airy feel. Both the first and second floors have floor-to-ceiling glass windows, so you get a sweeping view of the outside even while sitting indoors. It never felt cramped, so it was a comfortable place to spend time with the kids.

Pine Terrace bakery: bread baked fresh by the café's own baker

At Pine Terrace, a Goyang bakery café, you can find a wide variety of bread baked fresh by their own baker. I always get a little extra happy when there's a big selection of bread :) The baked goods on display looked so tempting that just browsing and picking was fun in itself!

If you're visiting with kids, letting each one pick their own bread seems like a great idea. Along with the bakery, you can enjoy coffee and a variety of drinks, so it's a perfect spot if you're looking for a bakery café in Goyang ❣️

Why the kids loved the animals at Pine Terrace

What set Pine Terrace apart from a typical large café was being able to see animals up close right at the café. Ornamental chickens, peacocks, rabbits, sugar gliders, parrots and more — you can actually see and interact with them in person. 🐰

Getting to meet animals on top of going to a café makes it so much more fun for kids, right? :) A lot of cafés leave kids bored while parents drink coffee, but Pine Terrace has plenty to look at, which explains why it's such a good spot for a family visit.

The second-floor terrace and outdoor area

On the second floor of Pine Terrace there's a terrace, and stepping out into the outdoor space you get an open sky and view to enjoy along with it. On a nice day, it would feel like a waste to stay indoors only — the outdoor space is great to slowly wander around.

Especially in cool weather like these days, enjoying bread and coffee and then wandering the outdoor space afterward gives you the full feeling of a proper outing.

Is this large Wondang café worth a trip with kids?

Having gone with the kids, I was struck that Pine Terrace is more than just a pretty café — it's a place where food, things to see, and hands-on experiences all come together in one space. 🐰🤍 You can enjoy freshly baked bread and coffee, meet the animals, and wander the terrace and outdoor area too, so it's a great option when you can't decide where to take the kids :)

Pine Terrace is spacious enough that even visiting with kids, we could spend time fairly relaxed. The floor-to-ceiling glass in particular let in a wide view of the outside even from indoors, and the whole space felt open with no cramped feeling at all :)

It's not just about eating bread and drinks and heading out — the fun of wandering around is part of Pine Terrace's charm. Watching the various animals with the kids naturally made us stay longer. With plenty of parking available too, it was easy to visit as a family, and it's worth a visit if you're looking for a Goyang bakery café where you can spend relaxed time with kids ♥️
