Goyang restaurant with high chairs and stroller access: Jimidang

We went out for a nice dinner with our baby on the weekend to Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch, a well-known braised rib restaurant near Baekseok Station in Ilsan.

Where is Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch, and is there parking?

Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch is located at 10 Baekseok-ro 108beon-gil, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi, South Korea, 1st floor. It's near Baekseok Station so it wasn't hard to find, and since we were moving around with a baby, whether parking was available mattered a lot — it was convenient that there's a parking space right in front of the restaurant.

Also, there are no steps from the entrance all the way inside, so it's apparently an easy layout for stroller users too. Since eating out with a baby often means hauling a stroller around, this felt like a pretty great touch.

Jimidang opening hours and break time

Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 to 21:40. Break time runs from 15:00 to 17:00, and it's closed every Monday.

Inside Jimidang: a clean, relaxed dining room

Walking into the restaurant, it felt clean and pleasant overall. And above all, the owner was genuinely kind! ❤️ It has an open kitchen setup so we could see the food being prepared to some extent, which I personally liked too.

The vibe wasn't chaotic or crowded — it felt like a good spot for a family meal.

What makes Jimidang easy to visit with a baby

Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch has baby chairs ready. And what was really nice was that they brought out separate baby dishware too.

With the baby seated in the chair and baby dishware all set up, we could eat a bit more at ease too.

Jimi spicy braised pork ribs, the signature dish

We ordered the signature dish, Jimi spicy braised pork ribs — the set! It was a day we were craving something spicy, and we ordered with high expectations. The pork ribs turned out to be much more tender than expected.

Jimidang's braised pork ribs are cooked so tender that the meat came off easily with just a light touch of the chopsticks.

So we didn't have to get our hands covered in sauce — it was neat to eat. We had it in the mild-spice sauce, and it still had that spicy-sweet balance along with a savory depth that kept us reaching for more. Spice level is adjustable, so people who can't handle spicy food much could order it to their taste too.

Braised ribs with gondre rice: the best combination

We also had gondre rice alongside the braised pork ribs, and this combo really worked well together.

Gondre rice has a nutty, mild flavor, so eating it with the spicy braised ribs felt like it toned down the intensity just the right amount.

Buckwheat pancake as a side for the braised ribs

We also had buckwheat pancake alongside. Eating the golden-fried buckwheat pancake together with the braised pork ribs gave a different feel altogether. Dipping it lightly in the braised rib sauce worked especially well.

Booking a table and parking at Jimidang

Jimidang apparently accepts reservations and also offers takeout and delivery. Group dining is available too, and you can use Wi-Fi or easy payment, so it seems like a good spot to visit for various situations. Parking is available too, which would be especially convenient for those visiting with a baby by car. For payment, they accept Naver Pay, credit and debit cards, cash, as well as the Goyang Pay local currency.

We had the spicy braised ribs this time, so next time I'd like to try the soy sauce braised ribs too. A satisfying visit to Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch on a day we wanted an easy meal out.
