Korean BBQ by Euljiro 3-ga Exit 11: mildest bone grill, Eulji Baektan
In short
Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui is a white-charcoal bone-grill Korean restaurant and pub right in front of Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Stopping in with a close friend before an appointment in Chungmuro, the writer ordered the mildest spice level 1 seasoned bone grill with grilled scallions and rice balls, and the meat was so tender it slipped off the bone, with no gamey smell and deep charcoal aroma. Level 1 at Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui was gentle on the stomach and worth a return visit any time you pass through Euljiro.

I had plans with a close friend in Chungmuro today and was looking for a good restaurant nearby when I found this place — haha! Here's my review of Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui, a well-known spot in Euljiro 3-ga.
What kind of place is Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui?
Tender meat with a full charcoal aroma is the standout here — Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui, or Eulji Baektan Bone Grill.

Right in front of Euljiro 3-ga Station, Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui's signature menu is bone grill with deep charcoal aroma and spicy seasoning. The special sauce comes with a choice of spice level, and there's a good variety of side dishes to go with it, like chadol odregi, grilled cuttlefish, and potato pancake. It's a Korean restaurant-pub perfect for enjoying a hearty meal and drinks in Euljiro's distinctive atmosphere!
The menu and the basic side dishes
Grilling over white charcoal gives everything a subtle smoky flavor, which really brought out the rich taste of the bone grill. The menu is set up well for sharing among several people, so it's great for company dinners or group gatherings, and works well whether you're there for a full meal or a light drink.

How did the level 1 seasoned bone grill taste?
I ordered the seasoned bone grill at spice level 1, and the meat was so moist and tender that it fell right off the bone while transferring it. No gamey smell at all, just full charcoal aroma, and eating it with grilled scallions boosted the flavor 100 times — haha!

The tender meat soaked in sauce tastes even better with a rice ball.

The shredded cabbage was surprisingly good too, and the baek-kimchi (white kimchi) was tasty as well.

The sweet and spicy sauce is addictive and genuinely so delicious — you have to try it. (Since it was level 1, it wasn't too intense and sat easy on my stomach.)

2nd-floor seating for groups
Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui has plenty of space, making it a great fit for company dinners or group gatherings.

Eulji Baektan Ppyeogui: the verdict
- Bone grill with white charcoal aroma and spicy seasoning that work well together
- Choice of spice levels lets you enjoy it to your taste
- Beyond the bone grill, a variety of menu items like chadol odregi, grilled cuttlefish, and potato pancake
- A good setup for enjoying a meal together with drinks
- Not an overly intense flavor, so it's approachable for all ages
- Easy to access, right in front of Euljiro 3-ga Station
- Great for sharing a variety of dishes among a group, with plenty of space for company dinners or gatherings
Honestly, the food was so good that I definitely want to come back whenever I pass through Euljiro! Highly recommend.
