Potato-skin dumplings at Busan milmyeon restaurant Seomyeon Milmyeon
In short
Seomyeon Milmyeon is a milmyeon (cold wheat noodle) restaurant on the first floor of Eos Plaza near Seomyeon Station in Busanjin, Busan. The writer and her husband ordered the entire menu — mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon and dumplings — and remembered the 72-hour beef bone broth, the hand-torn toppings and the potato-skin dumplings most. Eos Plaza's private lot gives 30 minutes of free parking, so Seomyeon Milmyeon is an easy stop even by car.

I wanted a proper bowl of milmyeon (wheat noodles) in Seomyeon, so I went looking and found Seomyeon Milmyeon. I tried the mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon, and even the dumplings — this is a genuinely legit Busan milmyeon spot where the broth alone takes 72 hours to make :) I've also put together parking info and directions, so if you're hunting for a milmyeon spot in Seomyeon, I hope this helps :)

Whenever people talk about must-eat food for a Busan trip, milmyeon always seems to be #1, right? It's similar to naengmyeon (cold noodles) in some ways, but it definitely has its own charm :)

Parking at Seomyeon Milmyeon: 30 minutes free at Eos Plaza
It was convenient that Seomyeon Milmyeon is on the 1st floor of Eos Plaza, so you can just use the building's private parking lot. 30 minutes of free parking meant I could stop by without any pressure :) I eat out in Seomyeon a lot, but honestly, almost nowhere offers parking support ㅠㅠ If you drive, you usually end up paying an extra ₩3,000–5,000 in parking fees every time!

What is the dining room like? Plenty of solo diners and visitors from abroad
The restaurant was spacious and clean :) I went at an off-peak time so seats were empty at first, but as I ate, a lot of foreign customers came in, and quite a few people eating alone too!

What stands out right inside the Seomyeon Milmyeon entrance
Standing in front of the restaurant, I was surprised by how many signed autographs were hanging up. I'd heard it had appeared on several TV shows, and the evidence was all right there. After tasting the food, I understood the fame wasn't for nothing :)

Seomyeon Milmyeon's three menu items, all ordered for two
The menu is simple! Just three items: mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon, and mul-myeon :) My husband and I ordered all three!

As soon as we ordered, I could feel the cooking start right away. You could tell they were trying to get it to us as fast as possible :)

Where the ingredients and the bone broth come from
Danmuji (pickled radish), radish, and broth come out as the basics. They said the ingredients are brought in fresh every day from nearby Bujeon Market — for a Busan milmyeon spot, it doesn't seem common to be this careful about ingredient sourcing. The broth is apparently simmered from bone broth for a full 72 hours, so I could really feel how much care goes into each bowl before it reaches the table.

I always make a point of trying the warm broth whenever I go to a milmyeon place, you know? It was savory with a really deep meaty flavor ♥
How does the mul milmyeon taste? Clear and mild, but a weighty broth
Seomyeon Milmyeon's mul milmyeon had a broth that was clear and mild in color,

but maybe because it's brewed so intensely, the broth had a heavy body while still finishing clean.
The noodles have that distinctly bouncy, snappy buckwheat texture — definitely a different charm from regular noodles! Loaded with shaved ice, it was so refreshing haha.

Is the bibim milmyeon spicy? The hand-torn toppings
One unusual thing — even the toppings aren't machine-cut, they're torn by hand and laid on top, they said. That care really shows in the bowl. The bibim milmyeon had a sweet-and-tangy sauce coating the noodles evenly, so the very first bite gave me that savory kick that instantly perks up your appetite.
If you like spicy seasoning, you'll probably love this one even more! For me, a total spice wimp, it was a little spicy haha.

Potato-skin dumplings alongside the milmyeon
Seomyeon Milmyeon's dumplings, made with potato-skin wrappers, were really chewy, and eating them alongside the milmyeon was so good. The combo of milmyeon and dumplings — honestly, what more is there to say.
The food came out fast, and since it's noodles, we slurped it all down pretty quickly haha. Having tried it myself, I can't help but agree this place deserves its reputation as a famous Busan milmyeon spot! You can really feel that they put time and care into even just the broth, so whenever I'm near Seomyeon, I'm definitely coming back! I'd confidently recommend it both to people trying milmyeon for the first time and to those who want to properly experience Busan-style milmyeon ♥
