An impromptu stop at Seomyeon Milmyeon on the way to Bujeon Station

Seomyeon Milmyeon is a milmyeon restaurant at 25 Seojeon-ro, Busanjin-gu, Eos Plaza. On the way to Bujeon Station, in the hot weather, a milmyeon sign just caught my eye. Destiny~ I walked right in! (An unplanned milmyeon binge.)

Open daily 10:30am–9:30pm (last order 9pm)

It's right on the road, so it's easy to find!

I went around 4pm and the place was packed~ (a lot of solo diners too)

All the ingredients are carefully sourced fresh every day from Bujeon Market, five minutes away.

How ordering works at Seomyeon Milmyeon: kiosk first, then a seat

At Seomyeon Milmyeon, you order and pay at a kiosk, and staff then show you to your seat.

I'd already eaten today so I ordered a regular size haha

Mul-milmyeon, bibim-milmyeon and dumplings: prices and what to order together

One menu felt like it wasn't enough, so I ordered one mul-milmyeon and one bibim-milmyeon, plus dumplings, which go really well with milmyeon.

Apparently they simmer beef bones for 72 hours just to make one bowl of milmyeon! Cooking starts the moment you order, and they try to get it to the table within 5 minutes — and it really does come out fast haha (slow process, fast eating)

What the mul-milmyeon at Seomyeon Milmyeon tastes like, and how big it is

Seomyeon Milmyeon's mul-milmyeon is 10,000 won, and the portion was more generous than other milmyeon places I've been to.

The noodles are chewy yet tender, and one sip of the cold broth cools your whole mouth down~ With a portion more generous than usual milmyeon places, I got fuller and fuller as I kept eating.

If you like milmyeon's signature clean, cool taste, mul-milmyeon is the safest choice~ (My favorite noodle dish is mul-milmyeon haha)

Bibim-milmyeon: tangy, spicy and a little sweet

Seomyeon Milmyeon's bibim-milmyeon is also 10,000 won.

Mix the sauce evenly through the noodles, then dig in! The sour, spicy, sweet sauce really wakes up your appetite. It felt more familiar and addictive with every bite compared to the first, and my chopsticks just kept going back for more.

The sauce clings well to the chewy noodles, so you really taste it with every bite!

Mul-milmyeon, with its cold broth topped with fine ice, is especially great in hot weather, while bibim-milmyeon's spicy-sweet sauce soaked into the noodles really pulls your appetite in!

With the hand-torn toppings, slurp it down~ it just disappears haha

Dumplings for 7,500 won: why every table at Seomyeon Milmyeon has a plate

Seomyeon Milmyeon's dumplings are 7,500 won. Now I understand why every table has a plate of dumplings as standard~ seriously delicious!

The juice inside is like xiaolongbao — move aside! The skin has that potato-dumpling-like chewy texture, and it's great!

Dip it right into the soy sauce and dig in!

The restroom is outside the restaurant.

Is Seomyeon Milmyeon worth a visit? Final verdict

The restaurant is fairly small but was jam-packed with customers! The milmyeon comes out in like 10 minutes flat haha (great turnover food)

Cool mul-milmyeon to cleanse the palate, spicy-sweet bibim-milmyeon for a kick, and dumplings on the side — it made for a fully satisfying meal! If you're looking for a real milmyeon spot in Seomyeon, Busan, I highly recommend Seomyeon Milmyeon! The combo of the cold, rich broth topped with fine ice in the mul-milmyeon and the addictive sour-sweet bibim-milmyeon is genuinely a work of art~ plus handmade dumplings with thin skin and a packed filling!
