Yeouido IFC Mall dog-friendly outdoor tteokbokki lunch: Hyeonseonine

It was definitely autumn weather just last week, but suddenly it's hot again… Since it was hot out, we came to Yeouido IFC Mall / The Hyundai to hang out and eat somewhere cool 🛒🛍️ Both IFC Mall and The Hyundai in Yeouido allow dogs, so I brought my dog Ganadi along -🐶 (a pet stroller or carrier is required!!!)

On the way to The Hyundai we took tons of photos with my mom by a floor-to-ceiling window that looks like a mirror, but apparently from the inside you can see straight out… the people in the café inside probably had a laugh

My dog Ganadi loves department stores~ he loves getting attention so he loves coming here, and he's busy people-watching the whole time. Cute, right -? 🐶

Where can you eat with a dog at IFC Mall in Yeouido?

Everything's great, but it's hard to find a dog-friendly restaurant here.. so we'd been packing food to go and eating at tables in the corridor, but I found a new place that allows dogs!

Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch: location and hours

Hyeonseonine's tteokbokki spot is on the moving walkway side before entering IFC Mall, located between a contact lens shop and a GS25 convenience store

Dogs are welcome only at Hyeonseonine's outdoor tables

At Yeouido IFC Mall's Hyeonseonine, dogs aren't allowed inside the store — only at the tables between Hyeonseonine and GS25. The outdoor tables aren't exclusive to Hyeonseonine, they're shared with GS25 customers! Still, they're far from the moving walkway so it was quiet and nice -!!

Just grateful that dogs are allowed even outdoors !!! 💛

What we ordered: the Hyeonseoni Set and tuna mayo rice bowl

The menu splits into regular tteokbokki and freshly-cooked (jeuk-seok) tteokbokki, but the freshly-cooked kind wasn't available outside the store. So we ordered the regular tteokbokki set menu and the tuna mayo rice bowl -! They sell draft beer too… wanted some but I'd driven, so no luck ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

You have to order at the kiosk, and takeout seems available too! Delivery riders kept passing by, so people living nearby must order delivery pretty often

There's a separate stash of napkins for the outdoor tables, and you can self-serve pickled radish, salt, soy sauce, spoons, etc.

How spicy is Hyeonseonine's mild level?

Hyeonseoni Set (tteokbokki + fried snacks + sundae + gimbap) ₩23,000, tuna mayo rice bowl ₩6,000. Spice level is adjustable, and mild was pleasantly spicy -! Less spicy than Shin Ramyun, maybe? If you like spicy food, the spicy option would probably be great too. I can't handle spicy food well, but eating it mild didn't feel spicy at all — just tasty!👍🏻

The gimbap (seaweed rice roll) was more like mini gimbap, and it was delicious 👍🏻 Dipping the gimbap and fried snacks in the tteokbokki sauce made them disappear instantly 🌪️ The fried snacks included sweet potato, vegetable, kimmari (fried seaweed roll), squid, and mandu (dumpling), and they came out really crispy and hot (nice-)

If you're deciding on lunch or dinner at Yeouido's The Hyundai / IFC Mall, give Hyeonseonine's tteokbokki a try~ And since it's hard to eat with a dog at a shopping mall, Hyeonseonine's outdoor tables allow dogs, so it'd be great for anyone coming with their pup ❣️
