Seonyudo burger restaurant: pepper chips and leg-cut chicken, BAS

My first-ever visit to BAS Burger — a place I'd wanted to try from the very first day I came to Seonyudo.

Where is BAS Burger Seonyudo? Right outside Exit 4, Seonyudo Station

It's right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station.

BAS Burger stands out from its building exterior alone — wood materials, a red sign, red brick. It was the first burger place that caught my eye after visiting Seonyudo Station.

The store isn't huge, and it's mostly arranged with 2-seat and 4-seat tables. Feels like a great spot to eat solo on the way home from work! When I visited around 6pm on a weekday, the customers were a nice mix — couples, families, and solo diners like me.

I really loved the interior, honestly 🤭

What we ordered: BAS Burger set, Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger set, Crunch Chicken 2P

I figured I should try the original menu item, so I got the BAS Burger set, plus something a little more experimental — the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger set — and since I love chicken, I also added 2 pieces of Crunch Chicken (leg cut).

There's a whole station of chips off to one side of the store 😲👍 Ketchup, mayo sauce, and pepper are all provided alongside.

Chips are unlimited if you're eating in, but you have to order them separately for takeout (₩2,500).

We tried them plain once, then with pepper sprinkled on — the pepper chips suited my taste more!

I noticed BAS Lager craft beer on the menu, and thought this would be the perfect spot to come to when you want a beer. Beer and chips is an unstoppable combo, after all 🍺

Crunch Chicken leg cut 2P: bigger than expected, so 2 pieces was the right call

While browsing the menu over chips, the mains arrived 🍔🍟🍗🥤

First I was surprised how fresh the vegetables looked, then surprised by the amount of fries and the size of the chicken 🤭 I'd debated between 2 or 4 pieces of Crunch Chicken and went with 2 — good call!!!! It was way bigger than I expected.

So the chicken,,,, passed with flying colors ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Being leg meat probably helped — it was so tasty, and so juicy!!! Now I want to try Crunch Chicken + chips + BAS Lager together.

Fries with 5 free sauces at BAS Burger Seonyudo

The fries were also Good⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — crispy enough that you could tell they were freshly made, and both the original and the cheese bacon fries were tasty 🍟👍 Five sauces made for the fries come free, so you can drizzle whichever suits your taste.

• BAS Burger sauce — BAS Burger's own signature combo, a spicy and savory sauce with onion and pickles
• Ranch sauce — an onion-scented sauce with the tangy taste of onion sprouts balanced with savory mayonnaise
• Barbecue sauce — an exotic, sweet tomato-based barbecue sauce
• Honey mustard sauce — a smooth, clean sauce blending mustard sprout aroma with sweet honey
• Pollock roe mayo sauce — a savory-salty sauce combining the salty umami of pollock roe with creamy mayonnaise

BAS Burger vs Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger: which one won?

The BAS Burger and the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger

The vegetables looked fresh, the meat quality inside was great, and I was already impressed by the burger's quality before even taking a bite 🤭

I figured the BAS Burger, being named after the restaurant, would naturally be delicious, and I ordered the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger just for fun (🤭), but I was surprised how good it was! It got more hands reaching for it than the BAS Burger. The wasabi wasn't overpowering, just the right amount, the shrimp was plump, and the onion rings were great. I swapped in grilled onion when ordering, and I think that helped a lot too!!!

✔️ If you have a food allergy, just tell the staff beforehand and they'll leave it out when cooking

✔️ There are cute Pokémon figures to spot around the store

✔️ There's a restroom inside the store! Nice

Takeout for a Seonyudo Park picnic: 10 minutes on foot to Han River Park

✔️ It's a 10-minute walk to Han River Park. If you want to go on a walking picnic to Seonyudo Park, get off at Seonyudo Station, stop by BAS Burger, and pick up tasty burgers and fries to go 👍

BAS Burger turned out to be a real find not just for burgers but for sides too — fries, chicken, chips 🍔🍟👍 Once I'm a local around here I think I'll be dropping by often 😋
