Today I'm sharing my visit to Forerest, a café in Nogyang-dong, Uijeongbu!

I usually love cafés with a nice atmosphere or spaces where I can relax and take my time, and Forerest felt like it was just far enough from the city center to have a natural, easygoing vibe — I was excited even before going 😊
The name Forerest apparently comes from "For a Rest," meaning a place to pause and rest for a moment. True to its name, it felt like a Uijeongbu café where you could take a little break from a busy day. 🌿
Where is Forerest and what are its hours?
Forerest is located at 181 Nogyang-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is open every day from 11:00 to 24:00, year-round. It sits in a quiet corner of Nogyang-dong. It's a café that's easy to reach by car, so it'd be nice to stop by as part of a drive haha.
Since it stays open late, it seems like a good spot for a relaxed café date during the day, or a quiet place to talk in the evening.
Is parking at Forerest easy?

There's parking space right at the café, so it was convenient to visit by car. Not having to worry about parking let me enjoy the café so much more leisurely 😆
Forerest's exterior and outdoor seating

Following the Forerest sign in, the parking lot comes into view first, and behind it the cozy-looking exterior of Forerest appears haha.

It was easy to park even after driving in, and the café's look right as I arrived at the parking lot was surprisingly pretty ☕️🥹

Forerest had such a quiet, warm feel that I was already a little excited before even walking in 🤎 I imagine visiting on a nice-weather day would really bring out the charm of the outdoor space haha.
The full-length mirror photo spot and interior at Forerest

Right as you step into Forerest, a full-length mirror comes into view ✨ I couldn't just walk past it, so I quickly grabbed a mirror shot 📸🤎

Seeing that pretty mirror right as you enter makes it easy to snap a photo before starting to look around the café.

Overall it had a warm, comfortable atmosphere that made it feel good to just settle in and stay a while.
The seating is nicely spaced out too, so it works well whether you're visiting alone or enjoying a Uijeongbu date with a friend or partner.

The wood-toned interior blends nicely with the relaxed vibe, making it a great spot to sip coffee, chat slowly, or just rest a while 💕💕

High chairs are available, and pets are welcome too, so that's worth keeping in mind if you're planning a visit haha.
What's on the menu at Forerest?

Forerest serves coffee, ades, and teas, along with a variety of Basque cheesecakes. With such a wide menu, it was great being able to enjoy dessert alongside coffee 👍👍
Plum tea, vanilla latte and two Basque cheesecakes compared

That day at Forerest, I ordered two drinks and two desserts. 🍰
- Plum tea
- Vanilla latte
- Matcha Basque cheesecake
- Chocolate Basque cheesecake
For drinks I went with the refreshing, sweet plum tea and the smooth vanilla latte.

The plum tea had a gentle sweetness and refreshing taste that went well alongside dessert, and the vanilla latte had smooth coffee flavor with vanilla sweetness added, making it easy to sip and enjoy. ☕
For dessert, I ordered the matcha Basque cheesecake and the chocolate Basque cheesecake.
The matcha Basque cheesecake balanced matcha's distinctive gentle bitterness with the cheesecake's soft, rich flavor nicely. The dense yet soft texture was appealing, so I'd recommend it to anyone who likes matcha desserts. 🍵
The chocolate Basque cheesecake had a deep, rich chocolate flavor. The soft, dense cheesecake combined with chocolate's sweetness made it great to enjoy alongside coffee. 🍫
Ordering both Basque cheesecakes together made it fun to compare matcha's gentle bitterness against chocolate's sweet richness.
Forerest was a great place to enjoy coffee and dessert while taking my time! Next visit, I'd like to try some of the other dessert options too 🤎
When is Forerest in Uijeongbu worth a visit?
If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere café in Uijeongbu, I'd recommend Forerest! It's a café whose charm lies in its spacious layout and natural feel 🥹🥹
It seems especially good for when you want to step away from the busy city center for a relaxed cup of coffee, or for a Uijeongbu date with a partner. There's an outdoor space too, so it'd look even prettier on a nice-weather day, and staying open late is another plus 👍💕
