I was craving sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) and looking around when I found out Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch had just opened — a gukbap restaurant I'd been curious about — so I rushed over for dinner 💖

How to get to Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch, and parking

Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch is on the 1st floor of 778 Dongil-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, 766m from Exit 2 of Nokyang Station. It's open 10:00 - 22:00 and parking is available.

This Uijeongbu gukbap spot was a 13-minute walk from Exit 2 of Nokyang Station, but there was a parking lot right in front, so it was super convenient to drive there without worrying about parking. Since it's a freshly opened Uijeongbu gukbap restaurant that just opened in September, there were flower wreaths out front and

there was a free glutinous sundae service at every table as part of the opening event 😊 They said you can buy 2 servings for the price of 3 (18,000 won) for uncooked takeout, so keep that in mind if you're getting it to go.

There was a sign about "a promise carved into one bowl," the story of how Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk boldly started out in the sundae alley of Yongin Central Market, so I read it before heading in :)

Inside the restaurant: is it good for solo diners and groups?

Maybe because it's newly opened, the interior of Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch was really clean and stylish. The space itself is spacious, so it's great not just for solo dining but also for family meals, group gatherings, and company dinners, and

the window seats were nice and tidy too, and there was also a room-like space inside, which would be great to reserve and use haha

Menu and how to order

The menu used a table order system so you can order comfortably from your seat, and it's organized into set/sampler menus, best liquor picks, gukbap, spicy gukbap, side dishes, drinks, beverages, and discount events (uncooked takeout).

They said a meal voucher is given by raffle to customer survey participants, and you can get free glutinous sundae for writing a review, so keep that in mind :) The wifi info was also displayed somewhere easy to spot, so anyone who wants to use wifi can do so easily 👌👌

What we ordered and what it cost

At Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch we ordered the special sundaeguk for 13,000 won and the special boiled pork/glutinous sundae set for 15,000 won.

  • Special Sundaeguk — ₩13,000
  • Special Boiled Pork/Glutinous Sundae Set — ₩15,000

After ordering, they first set the table with basic side dishes — cabbage kimchi, seokbakji (diced radish kimchi), peppers and onions, salted shrimp, and ssamjang (thick dipping sauce),

and the glutinous sundae from the opening event came out too!! The sundae was just the right size for two people to sample, which was nice,

ta-da 💕 our ordered dishes appear!! the boiled pork/glutinous sundae set with the special sundaeguk haha

The boiled pork and glutinous sundae that come with the set are also available just by adding 2,000 won to the basic sundaeguk, and the portion was surprisingly generous, so I'd recommend ordering it together :)

Special sundaeguk with five traditional sundae and freshly ground sesame

The special sundaeguk was generously packed with head meat and organs, and had 5 traditional sundae pieces in it haha. It's the savory style of sundaeguk, so it's best eaten without the minced seasoning, but adding the ground sesame really maximized that savory flavor!!

There was no gamey smell at all, and I'd really recommend Yetnal Gyeongseong to anyone who likes a clean-tasting sundaeguk ❤️

The sundaeguk was even better mixed with rice, and I finished the whole bowl feeling full 🙌🙌

On the way out, there were snacks, candy, and even coffee ready, which was a nice way to wrap things up, right?!
