What kind of café is Forerest?

Forerest is a large café with a garden at 181 Nogyang-ro, Nokyang-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. It's open every day from 11am to midnight, and there's a parking lot fully set up behind the building.

This is truly my real regular spot!! It shows up a lot on my blog, and other than that, if I say I'm going to work during the day, this is usually where I go!! A friend said there's a place in Nokyang-dong with good-looking cake, and I was like, Basque cheesecake?? Forerest?? And yep, that's exactly it! Haha. On a breezy day like this, it's the perfect place to stop by! So let's START.

This is my real real real regular spot!! When I say I'll bring my laptop, this is usually the familiar space where I end up working, haha. This time, when my friend and I asked each other where to go after lunch, she showed me a list of candidates and one of them was a large café in Nokyang-dong??? No way???? The place that sells Basque cheesecake??? Forerest???!?! And yep, it was!?!?!? I was like, that's my real regular spot, and brought her along, haha.

There's a parking lot fully set up behind the store. That day too, there were quite a lot of people!! There's never a time I come here and it's empty!!

The garden and outdoor tables at Forerest

Forerest's garden is pretty in all four seasons, but it's best on a day with a gentle breeze. I like coming around fall the most, haha.

Such a pretty garden. I'm scared of bugs so outdoor tables are scary for me!??? But they seem to be the generally preferred seats.

At least up to this line you can sit, hahaha. Last time I sat here alone and cleared my head, and it was genuinely peaceful!

There was even a butterfly net, haha. Good for people coming with kids to play!

Even the path into Forerest is special. Familiar, familiar~ haha.

What is the indoor seating like?

Forerest's interior feels open with big windows, and each section has a different mood. That day I sat outside and eating with the breeze blowing was so happy-making!

This is the inside of the store, haha. See how open it feels with these big windows?!?! There was a beehive up there and it startled me, but it doesn't come near people!

This window spot is my favorite space. A woman who came alone was using three seats, so... hahat, I couldn't sit there, ㅜㅜㅜㅜ.

Each section has a completely different feel, so I think it's good to look around and sit according to whatever mood you're going for!

This is a seat I've only sat in during summer. It just looks cool and makes you want to sit there in summer.

Earl Grey and matcha Basque cheesecake with milk tea

What we ordered at Forerest that day was Earl Grey Basque cheesecake, matcha Basque cheesecake, milk tea, and iced americano. As a regular, I've tried every flavor of Basque cheesecake, and my favorite is Earl Grey.

This is the menu board. Being a regular, I've eaten every kind of Basque cheesecake >ㅡ< hahahaha. My favorite flavor is the Earl Grey Basque cheesecake!!! I mean... this isn't just tasty, it's genuinely amazing with a texture that's just the right amount of dense. I always order Earl Grey as my default! Haha. That day my friend likes matcha so I ordered the matcha Basque cheesecake for her too!! For drinks I got milk tea, which was delicious, haha. The tea here is strong and good too.

My iced americano, milk tea, matcha Basque cheesecake, and Earl Grey Basque cheesecake. Truly delicious as always!! The milk tea was so, so good too, hahaha. Seriously, the Earl Grey Basque cheesecake, ㅠㅠ everyone needs to try it, ㅠㅠㅠㅠ.

Is Forerest worth a return visit?

The weather was so nice we moved outside, and it was genuinely so peaceful and lovely, hahaha. Looking at the lush green garden and eating sweet cake — genuine paradise, hahaha.

This is a place I really, truly love, my regular spot. It shouldn't get any more famous, but it's so good that I recommend it to everyone around me all the time. Highly, highly recommend.
