Duck fried rice and half a Peking duck at Suwon's Mirim Yangjang
In short
Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch is a Peking duck restaurant on the 3rd floor of Time Villas, connected to Suwon Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi. On a family visit with a child, the order was half a Peking duck, duck fried rice and jjajangmyeon, with the duck wrapped in thin pancakes with scallion strips, cucumber and ssamjang sauce — the skin cracker-crisp, the meat moist. For a family meal with a twist on the usual Chinese menu, the half Peking duck and duck fried rice combination is the one to get.

Where to eat Peking duck near Suwon Station: Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch
I was looking for somewhere to eat near Suwon Station, and this time I wanted something a bit more special with my kid than our usual go-to Chinese food, so we went to Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch haha.

It's inside Time Villas Suwon, so it's great to grab a meal while shopping, and it's connected to Suwon Station so it's super accessible! You can walk straight over from the 2nd floor of Suwon Station and it's right there.
What really stood out among Suwon Station restaurants was that this place serves Peking duck. It feels like a special menu item you can't easily find elsewhere!

What are the interior and seating like at Mirim Yangjang?
The Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch space felt clean and sleek from the outside. When you think 'Chinese restaurant,' you usually picture something a bit old-school, but here the interior looked especially clean, with a vivid red that totally got my appetite going!

The inside is clean all around too. The tables were spaced out generously, which is nice for a family meal. Looks good for a group ordering a variety of dishes too, right? The interior is so spacious that weekend waits probably clear out fast. With Peking duck on the menu, it could also work for a Suwon Station work dinner or group gathering.

Mirim Yangjang menu and what a family of three ordered
I wanted to try a bit of everything looking at the menu lol, but the main dish was decided from the start.

What we ordered
- Half Peking duck
- Duck fried rice
- Jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles)
- Pepsi Zero
Rather than just eating the Peking duck and calling it done, I wanted proper meal dishes too, so we went ahead and ordered duck fried rice and jjajangmyeon as well lol.
First to arrive: pickled radish and onion

Half a Peking duck, wrapped in thin pancakes
And finally, today's main event: the half Peking duck. The look alone was on point. The skin was glossy and grilled to a mouthwatering finish — exactly the kind of slightly special Chinese dish I was hoping to find near Suwon Station.

With the Peking duck, they gave us scallion strips, cucumber, and ssamjang sauce. The sauce seemed like ssamjang mixed with something else — sweet with a good savory depth. They said to dip the duck in it or wrap it together.

And here it is — pancakes to wrap the duck in! Getting pancakes as part of the Peking duck set felt generous and I loved it.

How the Peking duck tastes: crisp skin, moist meat
This was actually my first time trying Peking duck. I usually eat smoked duck, so this felt different — the aroma was appealing without being off-putting, and the meat inside was so moist while the skin was genuinely crisp like a cracker!
With Peking duck, the skin is really the highlight. The skin has a savory, crisp texture, and the meat inside is moist, so eating them together gave a great texture combo.
You still got that distinctive duck flavor, but it wasn't as heavy as I expected, so I kept reaching for more.

Wrapping it up with the sides made it even better!!
It tasted totally different from eating the duck meat alone, so it was fun mixing up combinations as we went. Since you can order it as a half portion, this is actually a great way to order if you also want to try other Chinese dishes.
My picky-eater kid especially ate it really well, which surprised me (rare occasion, that).

The dish the child ate most: jjajangmyeon
But the dish my kid ate the best was the jjajangmyeon. It's not just duck here — they also have familiar Chinese dishes like jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, so it was easy to pick a menu that works for everyone!

Anyway, coming for Chinese food and not getting this would be way too disappointing. Glossy jjajang sauce mixed thoroughly through the noodles — if the Peking duck is the main event, jjajangmyeon is the comfortable, familiar dish that pairs really well alongside it.

Noodles fully coated in jjajang sauce — can't go wrong. Peking duck, then fried rice, then jjajangmyeon — a proper full Chinese food course completed on a day I really wanted Chinese food.

We ate so well, nom nom nom. Eat like this, that's the way!!
Why the duck fried rice was worth adding
And personally, I was glad we also ordered the duck fried rice. Going from Peking duck straight into fried rice felt like a full duck course. I was going to just get plain fried rice, but figured since this place is known for duck, might as well get the duck fried rice.

The rice grains were fluffy and separate, with a hint of oyster sauce aroma alongside the duck. Salty-savory and full of umami — good.
Big scoop, yum lol. The seasoning wasn't too intense either, so it was nice to eat in between bites of Peking duck.

Me, my husband, and our kid — we all love fluffy fried rice like this, and we all ate well. This is exactly why we eat out!

Who should visit Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch?
Ordering half a Peking duck along with duck fried rice and jjajangmyeon let us try a good variety of dishes, and I left very satisfied with Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch, a standout restaurant at Time Villas Suwon.

If you want something a bit different from the usual jjajangmyeon or jjamppong, or you're looking for a Peking duck spot near Suwon Station, I'd recommend giving this a try.

Since it's inside Time Villas, it's easy to stop by while shopping or on a date at Time Villas Suwon, and it's also a great pick for a family meal or a group gathering near Suwon Station. I especially loved the combo of Peking duck followed by duck fried rice. If you're looking for a restaurant near Suwon Station and want something a bit different in Chinese food, hope this helps ^0^
