Suwon date café with couple seats: fruit cake at Diaz Cake Boutique

Café Diaz already runs several large branches around Suwon! Among them, they newly opened a dedicated cake shop called Diaz Cake Boutique, so I went on a date there~! The place is decorated in a luxurious, glamorous style, making it great for couples to visit on a special day, so I think it's worth a visit at least once!

What does Diaz Cake Boutique's signature fruit cream cake taste like?

✔️ Visuals — The fruit cream cake is gorgeous from the cross-section alone. Whole fruits are packed between the layers of cream, so a single slice shows off several kinds of fruit.

✔️ Taste — The cream isn't overly sweet, just a light sweetness! Every layer keeps the fresh, sweet-tart taste of the fruit itself.

✔️ Recommended pairing — Coffee goes well with a sweet dessert, but if you want something light and sweet, grapefruit ade is also a great combo, highly recommend!!

Diaz Cake Boutique is on the second floor at the start of Nahyeoseok-geori in Suwon, open daily 10:00–21:00. The fourth floor operates as a café while the second floor is dessert-only, decorated in a luxurious, glamorous style — a great spot to visit for a date on a special day!

🅿️ Parking info — There's no dedicated parking here, but you can park cheaply at the Gyeonggi Arts Center public parking lot, a 3-minute walk away!

Café Diaz occupies both the 2nd and 4th floors of the same building. The 2nd floor, newly opened as Cake Boutique specializing in cakes and desserts, turned out to be an even better spot for a date!

Right from the front entrance, the glamorous, upscale vibe hits you!

The window seats are great for soaking up the lively atmosphere of Ingye-dong, and thanks to the upscale interior, it's a lovely café for a cozy chat on a special day!

There are also couples' seats set up for pairs to sit together!

Since Diaz Cake Boutique specializes in cakes and specialty drinks, it has the advantage of letting you enjoy dessert in a more upscale atmosphere than a regular café!

Café Diaz's signature style is cream cakes topped mainly with fresh fruit! I think an upscale cake really needs that mildly sweet cream to taste even better.

If you want a cake with a flavor that really stands out, the blueberry cake was totally my type too

When you visit Diaz Cake Boutique, there are seats set up along a full window wall, which makes the atmosphere even better!

The fruit cream cake we ordered had different fruits hidden between each layer of cream, so it was fun eating it bite by bite, wondering what fruit would show up next!

I tried to cut a pretty first slice, but my fork failed me!! Cutting it neatly was a bust — that's how soft this cream cake was!

Even at a glance, there's a huge variety of fruit, right?! Fig, green grape, blueberry, peach, kiwi. Every single bite let me taste some fresh fruit, which was really fun!

The sweet grapefruit honey black tea had a black tea base with the tanginess of grapefruit and a gentle honey sweetness added in — it paired really well with the cake! It was packed with grapefruit flesh, so drinking it felt like biting into a whole grapefruit!

Is Diaz Cake Boutique worth it for a date in Suwon?

This was my review of the fruit cream cake at Diaz Cake Boutique near Suwon City Hall Station. Sitting at the window seat with a great view of the liveliness of Nahyeoseok-geori in Ingye-dong, in a café with such upscale interior, felt like a proper little escape!

A cake layered with fruit all the way through, plus a refreshing drink — this place is a fitting choice for a special anniversary date course. If you're near Suwon City Hall Station, Ingye-dong, or Nahyeoseok-geori looking for a café with great atmosphere, definitely give it a visit!!
