Loventa Suwon Haenggung is on the 3rd floor of the building right next to the Jungjiyoung Coffee Roasters flagship store in Haenggung-dong. It's a brick-toned building, so it stood out even from the alley and wasn't hard to find.

Last Tuesday, I held hands with my youngest daughter and headed to Loventa, a ring-making studio in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. I'd been wanting to spend time making something together with my daughter, and when the perfect opportunity came up, I booked excitedly and went. The ring-making experience takes about 1 hour, plus 1 hour of expert finishing — about 2 hours total.

Here's the front desk you meet right past the entrance. Soft lighting mixed with concrete surfaces gave it an upscale feel. Cute little props caught my eye too. Once inside, the white-toned interior and gentle lighting made it feel almost like a gallery.

10 private rooms for a quiet mother-daughter session

Loventa Suwon Haenggung has 10 private ring-making rooms. Everything was neatly arranged.

This is the room we were assigned. Sunlight coming through the white curtains gave it a lovely atmosphere. There were several private rooms divided by arched doorways, so we could spend cozy time together without worrying about other guests — that part I really loved.

Why we chose the Ether moissanite design

As soon as we sat down, they gave us aprons and gloves and showed us a sample box full of various ring designs, each one labeled with a name. The sample case, holding dozens of ring designs, had name tags like Edge, Aria, Bella, Ocean, and Eternal, which made choosing genuinely fun. My daughter and I looked through everything, deliberated for a while, and in the end we both fell for the 'Ether' design.

How the 1-hour ring-making session works

After picking the design, the staff member walked us through everything from A to Z, really kindly. She gave us gloves so we wouldn't hurt our hands, demonstrated the filing process on the ring right beside us, and helped us try it ourselves. This shows the staff member giving her demonstration. Her skilled hands made the technique easy to follow, so we could work along confidently.

After following the demo to file our rings ourselves, we went out to explore Haenggung-dong and grabbed a meal, and while we were eating, we got a call saying the finishing was done, so we headed back to Loventa. Wow! Here's the green Loventa box holding the finished rings. They even gave us a polaroid photo of the two of us from behind, which was such a touching surprise.

After we finished filing, the staff took the rings through a finishing process and handed them back to us gleaming and polished. The moment we opened the green Loventa box, my daughter and I looked at each other and burst out, 'This is so pretty!!' with big smiles.

They let us choose between an adorable green or white ring pouch, and we picked the green one to carry our ring box home in.

Once I slipped it onto my finger, the simple yet refined line quietly stood out — it felt like it would go with anything.
