It's right between Sinchon Station and Yonsei University so it's super accessible, and since it's open 24 hours every day, you can stop by whenever — breakfast, late-night hangover soup, whatever time it is.

Inside Pyeongando Sikdang: seating for solo diners and families

The inside was bigger and cleaner than I expected!!

If you've had trouble eating alone in Sinchon, this could be a good place to start!!!! As you can see in the photo, right by the entrance there's someone genuinely solo dining — well, solo drinking!!

It doesn't feel awkward eating alone here, and it's also a comfortable space for a group.

Tablet ordering and what is on the menu

You order from the tablet at each table, and pay on your way out!! The menu even has pictures, so I find tablet ordering so convenient haha

The restaurant's name is Pyeongando Sundae-guk, but besides sundae-guk (blood sausage soup) there are lots of other soup dishes — ppyeo-haejangguk (pork bone soup), naejang-tang (offal soup), seolleongtang (ox bone soup), yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) — plus dishes for sharing like gamjatang or hot pots!! Today we came as a family, so everyone picked something to their own taste.

Side dishes and table setting: kkakdugi radish kimchi

Ppyeo-haejangguk (spicy): ₩11,000 Pyeongando sundae-guk: ₩11,000 Myeongpum seolleongtang: ₩11,000 Ordering these three got us the basic side dishes And the kkakdugi (radish kimchi) among them is honestly amazing — I wanted to take it home!!

Every table has salt and perilla seed powder We asked for salted shrimp and pepper and they brought it right over!!

Spicy ppyeo-haejangguk (pork bone hangover soup), 11,000 won

Ppyeo-haejangguk (spicy, ₩11,000) Spicy and loaded with meat!! I usually like gamjatang but the portion is always too much for me, so I get ppyeo-haejangguk instead — and this one's really good.

The bones were big and the meat clung to them so thick that without even picking, just nudging it with a spoon made big chunks tumble off — there was so much meat!!

I ordered it spicy and the broth was super hot and fiery, and even though it was cold outside with a big temperature swing that day, I suddenly started sweating. The meat was tender with no gamey smell and tasted amazing, especially with perilla powder and cheongyang chili mixed in haha

Pyeongando sundae-guk (blood sausage soup), 11,000 won: a hit with my niece

Pyeongando sundae-guk (₩11,000) Served piping hot in a stone bowl!!! Just looking at it warms you up inside The broth is clean and mild, so even my elementary-school niece ate it happily

I especially liked how generous the fillings were. We got the mixed sundae-guk, and my niece picked out all the sundae (blood sausage) to eat — she said it was that good!!!! Besides sundae there's also meat in it, so you get plenty of protein too Sundae-guk usually has a distinctive smell some people don't love, but this version seems approachable even for picky eaters!!! Adding a lot of the perilla powder on the table makes the broth even richer and nuttier — so good.

Myeongpum seolleongtang (ox bone soup), 11,000 won

Myeongpum seolleongtang (₩11,000) A milky, rich ox bone soup. My niece ordered this one and started eating before I could even take a photo, so I only got shots mid-meal... I stole a bite — clean, deep ox bone flavor!!!! A dish anyone would like And the beef inside was tender and thinly sliced, so mixing rice into it with a piece of kkakdugi on top is absolutely perfect Highly recommend for anyone who finds spicy broths too much.

Is Pyeongando Sikdang worth it for a family meal in Sinchon?

I'm officially naming Pyeongando Sikdang a Sinchon hangover soup spot to remember The biggest advantage is definitely being open 24 hours every day — whether you need hangover soup at dawn, want a hearty meal in the morning, or just want soup regardless of lunch or dinner hours, it's incredibly convenient If you're looking for a 24-hour sundae-guk restaurant in Sinchon where you can get hot soup even late at night, I recommend Pyeongando Sikdang!!!!
