Pork cutlet restaurant in Bucheon: classic vs spicy loin at P&Chick

While looking for a good pork cutlet spot in Sinjung-dong, I went to P&Chick (피앤칙) with a friend.

I usually love pork cutlet, so we ordered both the classic style and the spicy version to compare.

We started with the classic pork loin cutlet.

This dish comes with two pieces of Korean pork loin cutlet and P&Chick's house-made cutlet sauce, priced at ₩10,500. The portion on the plate looked pretty generous, and being a familiar Western-style dish, it was easy to dig into.

Cutting it open, the loin meat was inside with a crispy coating outside, which paired nicely with the sauce. The crunchy exterior, tender meat and sauce all came together in one bite, and chatting with my friend, the plate emptied quickly.

The spicy pork loin cutlet we also ordered was ₩11,500.

This also comes with two pieces of Korean pork loin cutlet, paired with P&Chick's own spicy cutlet sauce. Eating the classic cutlet first and then switching to the spicy one made the flavor difference really clear, which was fun. The savory taste of the cutlet followed by the spicy sauce felt like it reset our palate, and ordering both instead of sticking with one flavor was the right call.

It was also fun comparing notes with my friend on which one we liked better. If you like spicy food, ordering one classic and one spicy to share seems like a good approach too.

Just the mains felt a little light, so we added sweet potato cheese sticks as a side.

The sweet potato cheese sticks are listed at 2 pieces for ₩3,000, an easy addition. Popping one in between bites of cutlet brought a sweet potato sweetness and cheesy richness that changed up the mood at the table.

Especially after the spicy cutlet, having a cheese stick alternated spicy and sweet flavors nicely. With two mains plus one side, it was a good amount to share with a friend, and the table looked pretty full too.
