Galbi sotbap, doenjang stew, AND yukhoe for ₩11,000?! And free Hamhung cold noodles on top??!

A lot of you are always hunting for good spots near Uijeongbu Station, right?! Today I'm introducing a place where I ate until I was seriously stuffed — Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch! They do charcoal galbi, galbi tang (short rib soup), and Hamhung cold noodles too, and the lunch special value was honestly insane, so let me share my review 😋

Where is Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch, and is there parking?

Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch is at 11 Beomgol-ro 145beon-gil, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1F, open daily 11:00–23:00. Parking's available, and so are reservations, group dining, takeout, and baby chairs.

Manpo Galbi's building and parking area

Apparently there's room for 7 cars in front and behind the building. If it's full, you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot! We happened to find a spot out back, so we parked and headed in.

The building itself is huge and the sign really stands out, so it was easy to find. The weekday lunch special especially caught my eye — a galbi sotbap set menu?! I was already so excited 😆

What the dining room at Manpo Galbi looks like

Once you open the door at Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch, a spacious hall opens up right in front of you — the tables are set generously apart, and it looked great for group dining too. Even on a weekday afternoon there were quite a few customers, which gave me the feeling I'd found a real hidden gem haha

There's a note explaining the meaning behind the name "Manpo" — apparently it's made of the characters for "full" and "to give," meaning "to give abundantly."

Manpo Galbi menu and the weekday lunch special

Manpo Galbi's signature dishes are handmade LA galbi and handmade marinated galbi, split between marinated beef short rib and fresh Korean pork rib. On weekdays from 11:00–15:00 (excluding weekends and holidays), ₩11,000 gets you a hearty galbi sotbap set — and there was a wide range of other choices too, from galbi tang to cold noodles with beef pancake.

And the thing that really caught my eye!! The handmade Hamhung cold noodles are free 👀 True to the name Manpo, it really felt like they were giving generously haha

We ordered the lunch special galbi sotbap set, galbi tang, and two servings of handmade marinated galbi.

Full spread of the galbi sotbap set

Galbi sotbap set, 11,000 won: yukhoe and oyster mushroom fritters included

Galbi sotbap set, ₩11,000. For the price it's already amazing value, but then yukhoe (raw beef) showed up as a side dish too?! Such tasty-looking side dishes 😆

There's also a fritter made from fried oyster mushrooms, done sweet-and-sour style like tangsuyuk — eaten with the sauce it was surprisingly addictive and delicious. And the yukhoe was fresh and tender, exactly the flavor I love, so I was practically inhaling it on the spot haha

Galbi sotbap with the lid removed

When you lift the lid off the sotbap, there's a generous heap of thick short rib piled on top — the visual alone is insane. Break the egg yolk and mix it in, and the richness doubles.

The doenjang stew has beef brisket in it, which I think is why it was so savory yet spicy and just delicious 👍 It pairs well with the sotbap, but honestly you could polish off a whole bowl of rice with just this stew alone haha

Handmade marinated galbi, 250g for 16,000 won, grilled over charcoal

Handmade marinated galbi, 250g, ₩16,000. It looked delicious just sitting there, and kimchi and garlic drizzled with sesame oil were already prepped in little dishes!

Handmade marinated galbi on the charcoal grill

Time to grill it properly over the charcoal~ Just watching it sizzle away got my mouth watering haha

The smell of the meat cooking alone was enough to stir up my appetite! Once it's cooked enough, they cut it into bite-sized pieces for you.

Beautifully browned galbi! 😆 The inside stayed moist with zero gamey smell, and the sweet marinade flavor really soaked through — delicious. It's great eaten plain, but you know it's even better wrapped, right? Wrapped up with the grilled kimchi and garlic, plus a bit of the galbi sotbap — one perfect bite.

How was the Manpo galbi tang at 14,000 won?

Manpo galbi tang, ₩14,000 — don't skip this one either. A big bowl with chunky short ribs and a generous pile of yellow egg garnish on top already looks like a winner, and the broth is rich yet clean, going down easily without feeling heavy haha

Is the free handmade Hamhung cold noodle any good?

I was already stuffed, but there's no skipping the cold noodles either 🤣 At Manpo Galbi, the handmade Hamhung-style cold noodles come free?! The noodles are self-made and springy, and the broth is mild and clean, which made it delicious. I didn't expect much since it was free, but I was even more surprised by how good the quality was haha

Is Manpo Galbi worth it? Final verdict

Overall it felt like I had a really solid, filling lunch. What I liked most was that for ₩11,000 you get the galbi sotbap set with doenjang stew AND yukhoe together 😆 Then adding the separately ordered marinated galbi and galbi tang left me absolutely stuffed 🤣

The restaurant is spacious with generous table spacing, so it looks good for a family meal out or a group gathering too. If you're looking for a filling lunch near Uijeongbu Station with a variety of menu options at reasonable prices, Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch is worth a visit!
