A while back my husband and I both worked late and met up around 8pm for dinner — I wanted to record it, so here's the writeup!
Where is Minari Naengsam in Munjeong-dong? 3 minutes from Munjeong Station Exit 4

I was searching for a BBQ spot near Munjeong Station and this place had that outdoor-patio vibe going for it, plus people said the pork belly was good, so we went. That patio feel actually makes it great for a date. And the location is so good — it's just a 3-minute walk from Munjeong Station Exit 4!
Now that we're older, my husband and I have become total station-proximity snobs. A restaurant near the station is the best!
Location-wise this place really delivers. There are also plenty of other restaurants nearby if you want to go for a second round after eating!

The sign out front advertises unlimited minari refills... with vegetable prices these days being sky-high, you could honestly get your money's worth on the minari alone, and they really do bring it out heaping full every time you ask for a refill!
Inside Minari Naengsam: orange walls and a patio-style pojangmacha (street tent bar) mood

We both came straight from work and got there around 8pm, and it was still pretty crowded! The interior isn't small at all — there are quite a lot of tables!

The orange wallpaper with posters stuck on it gave off such good vibes. Kind of a patio-plus-pojangmacha (street tent bar) feel, don't you think? The atmosphere was really great. The seating was spacious too, so nothing felt cramped!
Minari Naengsam menu and prices: 54,600 won for two near Munjeong Station

Check the menu photos for prices. Here's what we ordered:
- Minari flower frozen pork belly 160g, ₩14,900 per serving (ordered 3 servings)
- Doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), ₩5,900
- Zero-sugar cola
That's what we got, and the total came to ₩54,600! Considering frozen pork belly these days can run ₩18,000 a serving, this was on the cheaper side!

The flower-cut frozen pork belly came out almost immediately! The staff were friendly and quick, so it never felt slow — I actually thought, wow, they're on top of things, haha.
How many servings for two? Three servings filled us up
We ordered three servings of the 160g minari flower pork belly, and for two people that was just the right amount to be full. I've been eating a lot lately so haha — but even 2 servings plus fried rice would be plenty. I'd recommend ordering 2 servings first and adding more if you need to.

Oh, and this place is a green onion shred paradise... they gave such a generous amount that I was very satisfied.

How does the minari flower frozen pork belly taste? Endless minari with chogochujang (vinegared chili paste) and perilla seed
The minari flower pork belly is genuinely delicious. First of all, the unlimited minari refills are shocking in the best way... grilling the meat and wrapping it in minari (water dropwort) makes for a flavor that keeps pulling your hand back for more.

The meat wasn't chewy at all — nice and fatty, savory, with the juices coming through beautifully. Ugh, writing this makes me want to eat it again.

Oh, and this pepper is the real kicker. I heard it's kind of the Hermès of pepper — and it really is delicious! It boosts the flavor of the meat and brings out that distinct spicy kick pepper has. The grind felt a bit coarser than usual.

They also serve green onion kimchi and mustard leaf kimchi on the side, and both of these are delicious... and the kicker — they give you gochujang (red chili paste) sprinkled with perilla seeds, and eating that together with the minari was such a great combination. It felt like something you could only get here, the balance was honestly so good..!? If you love minari, I really want to recommend this place.

We also ordered the doenjang jjigae, which paired perfectly with the meat, and the portion was really generous too.
Is Minari Naengsam good for a team dinner as well as a date?
Good meat plus alcohol is definitely a winning combo. The vibe felt like a place where soju goes down easy, and there was actually a team at the next table having a work dinner. It'd work well for a team dinner too. The bill came to ₩54,600 for two, and we really ate until we were stuffed..!
The one regret: we never got to order the fried rice
We ordered 3 servings and got so full that we couldn't order the fried rice in the end, and that was the biggest regret. If you love minari, I recommend this place, and the kimchi was all so delicious too! You could easily finish a bowl of rice with just the kimchi.
Next time I'm going to pace myself better so we can definitely order the fried rice too! Ah, I want to eat that meat again already....
