It's a 3-minute walk from Lotte Department Store at Sinjung-dong Station Exit 3 in Bucheon. Super easy to find, and the taste is great too — a real pork belly gem in Bucheon! Whenever I have errands in Bucheon, I always stop by Cham Dwaejitgan. Fell in love after the first bite and became a regular ever since, haha. As someone who gets around mostly on foot, I love that it's close to the subway — great location advantage 👍

Early Sunday evening at Cham Dwaejitgan: atmosphere and seating
When I went for an early Sunday dinner, there was hardly anyone there, but before long the whole spacious place filled up with people. It's word-of-mouth famous as a Sinjung-dong Station pork belly spot, so I guess everyone in the know already knows.

Full glass windows and generous spacing between tables mean you barely notice the neighboring table, and the special smokeless grill keeps the whole meal comfortable. There are tons of seats.

High-quality pork aging away — and not just in one aging room but several, all getting more delicious as we speak, haha.

Unlimited vegetable side dishes, everything except minari
Side dishes at Cham Dwaejitgan are unlimited. You grab as much lettuce, perilla leaves, bean sprouts, kimchi, seasoned dishes and so on as you like — everything except minari is refillable. I love this kind of service from Cham Dwaejitgan. Being able to grab well-fermented whole-head kimchi and grill it yourself is such a treat.

The classic pork belly combo! When the ingredients are this good, it tastes great no matter how you eat it — Cham Dwaejitgan, pork belly in Bucheon's Sinjung-dong.

What comes with 2 servings of Jeju black pork?
Order 2 servings of Jeju black pork at Cham Dwaejitgan and you get sliced potato, 2 shishito peppers, and king oyster mushroom served alongside, all set out neatly.

Kimchi, minari (water dropwort), and bean sprouts are pre-set on the grill, with the meat right beside them — ready to go. There's plenty of vegetables prepared, so my other half ate mostly meat while I, the vegetable person, went heavy on the side dishes — we don't match in taste, which actually makes us a perfect match, haha.

They finish prepping the heated grill by oiling it with pork fat, ready to welcome guests.

Staff grilling: all four sides cooked for you
At Cham Dwaejitgan, you don't have to grill the meat yourself — staff cook it to the perfect state. Once the Jeju black pork hits the grill, that sizzling sound is a whole appetite-boosting show, haha. It hits your ears and eyes first, then follows through with flavor from quality ingredients and top-notch black pork — a true pork belly gem in Bucheon's Sinjung-dong!

To get the outside nice and crispy, they carefully grill all four sides of the thick-cut meat.

They cut the meat into bite-size pieces and grill it even more thoroughly. Even though the staff are busy with all the guests, they're kind and careful with prepping the meat so it's easy to eat — really appreciate that.
Mushroom, wasabi, spicy sauce, salt, ssamjang and more are laid out so you can eat however you like.

Once the meat is cooked just right, it's time to eat. Well-cooked kimchi turns golden and even more flavorful from the fat, and once the beautifully grilled black pork is set down, it's finally time to dig in as much as you want.

Sliced potato wraps, the Cham Dwaejitgan signature
One of Cham Dwaejitgan's specialties is sliced potato. You grill the potato and use it like a wrap, tucking in meat and vegetables. Once cooked, the potato softens up and becomes a great wrap material — a fun new twist added to the meal.
The grill that just cooked the meat now gets its turn with thinly sliced potato, used like a lettuce wrap to hold other ingredients. A potato wrap experience unique to Cham Dwaejitgan.

Glossy, well-cooked Jeju black pork — pair it with a drink and every worry seems to wash away. Cham Dwaejitgan is serious about its ingredients, and that's exactly why it tastes even better. A true pork belly gem near Sinjung-dong Station in Bucheon.
