After a run in Gwanghwamun, the writer ordered two servings of tongsamgyeop (whole pork belly, 18,000 won) plus cheese gyeranjjim (steamed egg), and staff grilled the pork from start to finish so it came out crisp outside and juicy inside, followed by Busan-style milmyeon (cold wheat noodles) to finish. Korean BBQ near Seoul Station and Chungjeongno with parking sorted
Doldam Sutbuljip is a charcoal Korean BBQ restaurant on Jungnim-ro, between Seoul Station and Chungjeongno Station, and it offers parking support so you can drive there and eat right away. I went for dinner at Doldam Sutbuljip after running hard in Gwanghwamun and being absolutely starving!
That day I was thinking about what to eat after my run, and honestly what else but meat after exercise haha — I was craving charcoal-grilled meat, so I went looking for a place, and since parking was supported here it was convenient to visit by car too. A lot of people looking for a BBQ restaurant near Seoul Station or Chungjeongno probably stress about parking, but here you can park and eat right away, which was great =3

Doldam Sutbuljip's outdoor seating and indoor tables
Doldam Sutbuljip has seats not just inside the store but also outside. On a nice-weather day, it seemed like it'd be fun to eat charcoal-grilled meat outside with that yajang (outdoor tented seating) vibe.

If you want to eat meat while catching a cool breeze in weather like this these days, the outdoor seats would be great! Eating comfortably indoors is nice too, but personally I love this kind of outdoor grilling atmosphere, so next time I want to try the yajang vibe haha.

What's on the menu at Doldam Sutbuljip
The menu isn't focused on just one type of meat — they sell pork galbi, samgyeopsal (pork belly), mokssal (pork neck), so-galbisal (beef short rib meat), and more. So whether you're craving pork galbi, samgyeopsal, or even beef, it seems easy to pick according to your mood.
Interior photos

Doldam Sutbuljip is a BBQ restaurant located between Seoul Station and Chungjeongno Station. There are a lot of offices and restaurants around here, and it's a good location to visit when you're craving meat in this area!

The interior overall was clean and the table spacing was decent, so it was comfortable to eat there. There were plenty of tables, so it seemed like a good spot to visit with friends or for a company dinner or gathering.

Two servings of whole pork belly, 18,000 won, plus cheese steamed egg
We moved here after running in Gwanghwamun, and maybe because we were starving after exercising, we dove straight into the menu as soon as we arrived at the BBQ restaurant haha. What we ordered was
- Tongsamgyeop (whole pork belly) ₩18,000, 2 servings
- Cheese gyeranjjim (steamed egg with cheese)
That's what we ordered.

Side dishes and the stew that comes free
The side dishes were more varied than I expected, which was nice. It wasn't just the meat that came out — several side dishes to go along with it were prepared, so it was good to eat between bites of meat!!

And it was great that a jjigae (stew) came out as a basic. When you go to a BBQ restaurant, you often want a warm soup like doenjang jjigae or kimchi jjigae alongside, and since it comes as a basic here, you don't need to order it separately — good!

The cheese gyeranjjim — no need to say more...

How does staff-grilled whole pork belly taste?
Finally the tongsamgyeop came out..!!! It included a fattier cut too, and it was seriously delicious...

As soon as the tongsamgyeop went on the grill, the staff cut and grilled it into bite-sized pieces for us. Since they grilled it from start to finish, we didn't have to scramble to flip the meat ourselves and could just chat comfortably while waiting haha.

Since the staff grilled the tongsamgyeop to a golden brown, the outside came out crispy while the inside stayed full of juices!

They timed the grilling well and cut it into easy-to-eat pieces, which made it even more enjoyable.

Finishing with Busan-style milmyeon cold noodles
After eating our fill of meat, we ordered Busan-style milmyeon (cold wheat noodles) to finish. After meat I always end up craving a cold noodle dish like naengmyeon or milmyeon, and this time I went with the Busan-style milmyeon. Eating cool milmyeon alongside warm charcoal-grilled meat was such a perfect pairing!
